I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small.  Does it matter?

No, the US Dollar is still the strongest currency in the world! And there are a lot of other national currencies stronger than bitcoin.

Any currency now is a pyramid. The dollar is no exception. After currencies ceased to be an asset of the state, they turned into paper. This pyramid at any time may collapse such examples in history there have been a lot. I don't think the dollar is a strong currency, but the popularity is a currency №1 in the world.

I believe In bitcoin and Think it is very cheep at the moment. But bitcoin Is not the strongest currency ATM because it is brand new and has huge fluctuation. Alot of people don't have faith in bitcoin and this can cause panic sell's. Bitcoin has a future of becoming the strongest currency in the world but has not hit this as yet. It needs to be more available and easier to trade for goods and services to become strong.       

Bitcoin can be distinguish as a form of currency for now because its price is relatively alike on the system of fiat. But there are differences if we would compare fiat to bitcoin. Before we allow to think that bitcoin has the capacity to be a strongest currency we also need to consider its form. We all know that bitcoin is a crytpo-currency meaning it is not a tangible instrument. So i associate fiat for having a future of becoming the strongest currency because of its transaction, price and security not for know but in the near future as bitcoin continue its development.

I was curious about how are the factors that can determine a currency as the strong one, As far as i know all of the currency is strong but it will depend on the demand that gives the more value for more people used it in their live. Bitcoin already considered as strong currency right now.

Bitcoin is a strong digital currency for me because cause it is still standing as a good crypto currency in the world after a rough and amazing 8 years. Even without the government approving these digital currency, this will stay strong.

Forsooth, I do believe that bitcoin is strong because as we can see bitcoin has begun on the year of 2009 and as of now it still existing despite of the conflict it had face. Furthermore, even though there's a lot of coin are now popping up still bitcoin is more useful. Yet, even without the support of government it is still doing great.

Most people do say that bitcoin is not "legalized",so not sure whether it is right or not to compare  with other currencies. Even if it is compared ,i don't think it is the strongest currency in the world, because if any currency has to be the strongest currency in the world, it has to beat US dollar as well gold both,so most probably it i am afraid it is not the strongest currency .But that does not mean that it cannot be the strongest currency in the future ,for it is the world's first digital currency!

Most of the people in other countries doesn't have a computer or even the internet that's why it's not that really familiar to them if you talk about bitcoin to lets just say some meat vendors. How would you explain it to them if the only mostly talked currencies to them is the common local currencies? People that usually work too much in the field doesn't always know about what is happening on the internet. They could just simply do what is being told to them. And yes bitcoin is not that too famous to be the strongest currency in the world, it's just the value of it is too high compared to local currency.

Yeah you are right nowadays the US dollar is the strongest currency of the world and all over the world use it ,and other national currency is also stronger than bitcoin. i think it is only the strongest currency in the crypto world but not in realy world because in real world USD is the king of all the fiat currencies and may be remain for a long time.

You are right because by real definition it is not a money, but only a tool for online transaction, without people using their money
to buy bitcoin it will not progress. Not the strongest for sure but the best payment system IMO.

Bitcoin is a useless thing for those who don't have any use of Bitcoin or they are not successful in the virtual currency field .
Here for myself the Bitcoin is a king of my life and its value is above the fiat currency in my opinion .
I means to say that I am giving the priority more for the Bitcoin than for the fiat money because I can make.momey from Bitcoin but I
Can't make money from fiat currency , so why I will say the Bitcoin is small in any ways  .
So whether you are bitcoiner or not , you should consider the Bitcoin at top brand and useful thing  .
Here when I started the Bitcoin then I found that Bitcoin is more better than bank system , the reason was not to make money , because the money that you have in your wallet is yours until you use it or to transfer anyone ,so how such types of the concept can be small :/

Yes, that is right. Bitcoin is just "starting" and not already the strongest because if bitcoin is the strongest currency in the world, we can see that all of the possible companies and countries are already adopted bitcoin but now it is just starting to get adopted and a lot of attention now are going into bitcoin and they are all interested in bitcoin to get adopted in their countries.

I agree and yes, the US Dollar is still the strongest currency in the world. In fact if ever bitcoin will be considered as a centralized currency it still won't be the strongest because there are still other currencies in the world next to the US Dollar.

As a currency, Bitcoin is still, and will remain for some time, unstable. There are three things that need to change:

- low capitalization - more people need to join
- centralization - I think it is safe to assume that whatever happens with BTC price on MtGox, it will be reflected on other exchanges which make up (please correct me if I'm wrong) less than 10% of the Bitcoin trading market, with MtGox in control of the rest.
- difficulty of getting started into Bitcoin and actually using it safely and conveniently

you have a point on every side. But you could actually take Bitcoin development as the part of its system. It doesn't make sense if it will going to be the strongest currency or not because what is important is that it actually have its own system and advantage compression to just old fiat. It is more aligned on technology so much development would happened.
