Litecoin would be the obvious choice.

Litecoin - Many in the Bitcoin realm fear it as the robin hood of crypto coins, Litecoin though is the perfect option if you don't want fiat and also don't want to be all in btc. Single crypto coin exchanges will become less popular than multi coin exchanges.

Litecoin, of course, and maybe PPcoin? I guess the others (Terracoin, Namecoin, etc.) are not stable/important enough yet to be considered by Mtgox...

I think they should improve their current crypto currency before adding any others.

None. All other cryptocurrencies can eat a bag of monkey dick. Bitcoin is king. The altcoins should accept this and commit suicide.

This.
I really see no point in using alternative crypto-currencies, they are just harming the system and the idea. Fragmentation is not good mmmkay?

Monopoly is not good... mmmkay? Tongue

If a concept is so wonderful - and I think Bitcoin is - it can stand a bit of competition. Actually, Litecoin et al don't even have to be perceived as competition: they can complement Bitcoin analogous to the way (excuse the cliché) that silver complements gold.

I think XRP (ripple) would be a great choice. The difficulties in moving fiat currency between exchanging is a major problem, as I see it, hampering trading and creating large differences in BTC exchange rates between different exchanges. Ripple is to exchanges as BTC is to fiat currency, so I think it would be a perfect complement to take cryptocurrency to the next step.

yep.
seeing that XRP might as well be regarded as regulated under FINCEN (or whateverthefuck it's called), there's no reason not to.

Hmm, I'm new to the bitcoin game and I do it mainly for fun. So, how can be decentralised currency perceived as "monopoly"? Tongue

Litecoin and Terracoin.

The Rock Trading Exchange forges its order books with bots, uses them to scam customers and is trying to appropriate 35000 euro from a forum member https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.0

Seeing that the founder of mtgox is a major stakeholder in ripple, I would in fact be surprised that we would have to wait very long for ripple integration on mtgox.
