7970 still relevant?

If all your wanting is some raw power from AMD cards just for mining coins at launch and lower then average difficulty then I say go for it, if it is for long term mining then I would have to agree with the energy efficient Nvidia Cards.

A coin mined early & held could be a gold mine later on down the track, just play your cards right

With 20c electric power go for 1060/1070....... sure 7970 is still ok for mining, ethereum hash might have droped a bit to ~17Mhs etc...
