Hi,
I am using an AMD R9 270x Powercolor GPU. What's the best Altcoin to mine? Currently I am using NiceHash Miner but is there a better coin for me the mine? Some tips would be helpful. I forgot to add but I am using the daggerhashimoto algorithm.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

As I've been predicting for a long time, ethereum is still and will remain a good choice for GPU mining (at least for some more months). Try to mine ethers and share your hashrate here, just to make sure that you're getting enough hashrate.

Right now ETC is the new popular coin around and you will do well to mine it. Squeeze the juice while it lasts.
You could check coinmarketcap.com to take a look at prominent altcoins in the market. Take your pick(s) and start mining.

Is there any data showing which one is likely to survive? Could be terrible idea, especially if ETH keeps up development and etc does not. Does it really matter since most miners sell their coins right after it hits the exchange? |
