It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hello,

Not exactly a newbie.  I was on the site for quite awhile and was working on a project called OpenPay.
Unfortunately, I lost access to the email address for the account and I can't reuse the user name because someone launched a payment service with the same name (Isis) and sent me a C&D letter.
Anyways back to the point, I'm not with my former employer anymore and a non-compete prevents me from working directly on OpenPay for about 6 more months.
So I've moved on for the time and am working with an ITSP that accepts payment in Bitcoin.  Figured I'd hop back on the forums and see what's shaking.
New name, same person (Isis/Nova!), nice to be back.

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy

Hello all,

I have been following BitCoin for a couple months now and figured I should get signed up on the forum.  I really like the concept and I hope it is something that will take hold as a valid currency for transactions around the world.  I'm looking forward to seeing what the future brings for BitCoin and perhaps make a few friends at the same time.
