Hello all,

I'm from UK and started mining about two weeks ago. Started off with with 2 x 6870s at 600 MH/s. Just built a second rig with 3 x 5850s and getting around 1GH/s from them.

Both are running Ubuntu 11.4 and using poclbm miner.

6870s @ 980 MHz core, 1050 MHz memory, 100% fan speed, 70-75'C
5850s @ 775, 875, 825 MHz core, 900 MHz mem, 100% fan speed, 90',65',82'C

For some reason the 5850s run hotter and I might need to get additional fans.

Less than .3% rejection on Deepbit so I'm quite happy. I'd like to be able to underclock memory on both cards to see if that reduces heat.   AMD 11.6 drivers failed to install though...

Anyway, all the best!

Hi everyone,

I am from Shizuoka, Japan.

I am the owner of a Music and Sound Design firm called Fyutchaflex. Recently - last week! - we made the decision to accept bitcoin payments.

Right now, there are only a few music businesses involved in the bitcoin economy. I think it would be great if more could get involved.

I have a few ideas of things that could be done to promote the use of bitcoins for music purchases.

Hi, my nickname is harrigan. I am very interested in Bitcoin -- more its technical details than its recent gain in value.

Hello. I am psypher246 from South Africa. Currently I have a 6990 and 2 x 5870's

I get 408 mhash on each 5870 (OC'd to 980)
I get 333 mhash on each gpu on the 6990

So in total doing about 1482 mhash

Should be adding another 5870 soon. Anyone in south africa interested in buying some of these with me:

Hello World.

Not an unusual story, but I discovered Bitcoin in August 2010, poked around a bit, and wrote it off as a gimmick.  Now that it's become more mainstream, I'm interested again, though it's definitely still in its infancy.  I enjoy reading the Project Development sub-forum to see how new applications are coming along.  Cash has been around for thousands of years; it's time for something new.

Hi there,

I've been lurking these forums since about January, but only now finally registered. I've participated in a little bit of commerce in bitcoin (buying things), but no selling yet. Seeing as I have a 3D printer sitting on my desk here, I might be able to provide some useful services! I also dug an old Virtex-4 FX12 based FPGA dev board out of the closet, so there's a chance I might get into that project, time permitting.

Here's hoping bitcoin continues to grow!
