Hey guys, so I am a newbie and i saw some of members here have multiple bitcoin wallets , why is that? do I need to make multiple bitcoin wallets as a beginner ?
The main reason that most people have multiple Bitcoin wallets is for the further security of their Bitcoin. Logically, if you have more than one wallet and split your Bitcoin evenly there is less chance that you will lose all of your Bitcoin via hacking.

i have 3 wallets in different wallet site. i use coinbase, coins.ph and block chain. because separate my fund on gambling and investment
cause gambling in casino site is not lega in our country. they ban user's wallet once they trace that the bitcoin came from a casino site or any other form of gambling.
i didnt use mixer because it is too hassle for me. and 3 wallets in different is safe. Smiley

I have 2 wallets at a moment, I am getting my earnings in my blockchain wallet and when I have to sell them and convert it to my local currency then I transfer it to my localbitcoins wallet.

As of now im using  2 wallets  and im using them for different purpose  because my other wallet serves as an investment wallet which all earnings on my investments goes to that wallet and my other wallet is for my personal reasons. It really depends on a person on how many wallets does he want to make it depends on his purpose.

It's not necessary to make multiple bitcoin wallets. In some cases you can have a mobile wallet, desktop wallet and cloud wallett.
I have an electrum desktop wallet which I store 0.1BTC on which is kept fairly safe and the see is stored in a separate location.
I also have a coinbase wallet of 0.07BTC which I use to be a "hot" and active wallet which covers transaction fees so makes it easier to move funds to different online wallets.

For a beginner, I'd suggest picking blockchain.info or coinbase.com for storing your bitcoins (as you probably won't have many to store).

I like trying new online wallets for use on smartphones so have probably downloaded most of them and then deleted the ones i don't use.
Other than that i have 2 wallets i use regually and if you are also talking about paper wallets then i have heaps of them, must have about 50 all printed laminated and ready to go.

I personally use several renowned bitcoin wallet, because I do not think there are things that can be trusted in addition, we ourselves manage. And to avoid the things that I do not want, I split my bitcoin, into some of the wallet providers. Although it makes me have to pay a lot of fees if the transaction, but it's worth it when considering safety. And if one wallet closed, I just lost a few percent of the total bitcoin I have. IMO

People most likely do it for more privacy, eg, People can not see how many BTC you have, it also adds another layer of security, If someone hacks your wallet, you still have your backup-wallets.

Its better to have multiple wallets to minimize the risks, generally I store majority of my coins in desktop wallet and very few in online wallet, I am using multibit and blockchain wallets.

I have few bitcoins in my wallet i think below 1 btc because i spend some of my bitcoins in promoting a page which is marketing affiliate from amazon..
I am earning good there but the earnings are in usd to paypal. but very useful that i can use bitcoin for promoting it using some bots like senuke gs ranker and scrapebox i am paying for automated death captcha. to automated promte my page..
But some of my bitcoin use in trading because its really my hobby to watch my trading status..
