At start of this year I just sold my tokens due to lack of communication by the team. I had plan to hodl for long term but seeing everyone desperately searching updates I took that time decision to move on. In last 24 hours how many dramatic changes ups and downs have been seen. It got my attention back to keep it following once again later when market will be calmed down.

I dont get the GUI. I donwloaded it on two different machines and when I unzip it and instal this assat managment thing its starts sincing but where can I create my wallet  Huh Huh

I have to upload a file at new wallet database but which file Huh where do I get it??

Oh, that. Well, there is no file initially. You create it when you name it. So just decide on a name and where you want to put it and it will be created. Once created it will have a .db extension.

Yeah it worked out thanks I think what I did wrong was wait till all blocks where loaded and the tried to make a new wallet I have no other explanation. Eighter way its wroking now so Im glad

Agreed there were some dark days when ANS was below $.20 and no news to speak of, especially in English. I held through and picked up some more at $.25 when I started seeing some solid news. This is a long term hold for me.

Cold Wallet is better than Desktop Wallet and Desktop Wallet is better and safer than Exchange.
If Exchange gets hacked you loose all.

It appears that it certainly can be sped up to mere minutes. Someone left a clue as to how that should be done, but I do not have the exact specifics either:

"You could try deleting the chain and re-downloading. There's a way to speed this up to only take a few minutes vs hours (file is linked somewhere on Steemit I believe, can be found in the bitcointalk ANS thread)."

Deleting the Chain file alone will not work from the empirical evidence I have seen, so I would not recommend that. Your best bet is to attempt to find that file supposedly linked on Steemit somewhere. If anyone happens to find it, let us know. This should be useful to many.

Consider this in such way: not if, but when.

I lost a huge amount of Dash on damn mint pal exchange scam...

That would be very helpful.  I can't get the web wallet to fully sync, just sits at 27% ...

And since Im on a MAC I cant use the Windows wallet.

Maybe this is the same:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Antshares/comments/6axcd5/speedup_client_sync_using_bootstrapped_chain/

My wallet is already synchronized, so I cannot say if this will work, but all files seem to come from Antshares, so at least you should have the certainty that all files are fine. It looks okay as the bootstrapped file in compressed form is about 300 MB, whilst the entire Chain folder should be around 880 MB.

I bought ANS on last year but I'm not waiting to be sold. Its current price has risen 9:52 $ Sad

You mean that you sold it because you couldn't wait and now it's $9.52?

I think that person already unload his bags at this price. I missed that train because there was much silence before this storm but I wont buy at current it will be big mistake when it is pumping.

Yup, i remember selling eth @ 17$ becuase of the pump, and said to myself it wont go higher! So i sold and was very happy at tht time.....

I did the same, sold tons of ETC when it was $6ish

Antshares has more than 300 nodes and this number is also increasing. Issues only arise when more than 1/3 of all nodes cannot come to a consensus with the rest and even then there is a method to resolve this, so that Antshares will not fork like Ethereum did. Go ahead and sit out and watch where this goes. You cannot do what Antshares does. You are not Chinese and thus you will never be supported by the largest economy in the world. The BRICS alliance will need a cryptocurrency to ultimately take out the petro Dollar. Go ahead and try to compete like that in the West and the people in black suits will come get you in black vans. Qatar also tried to sell LNG in Chinese Yuan and immediately it is made out to be the enemy when it does not act like a vassal state. Try as you might the ultimately solution will come from the East and not the West.

am i right?

thank you.

No, there are now 423 full nodes aka bookkeeping nodes which validate the blocks and that number is rising quickly. They have to reach a consensus of more than 2/3 in order for transactions to be valid. How it all works is described in their whitepaper amongst other places. This is not centrally run like Ripple with relatively few validating nodes and neither does Antshares have the imperfections of Bitcoin or Ethereum in the form of the limitations of the One Man Bookkeeping. The Antshares Team thought everything through properly and it is far superior to the other systems. Admittedly they had time to learn from others what worked and what did not, but that does not change the facts. Your wallet might only connect to 8-10 nodes at a time, but that does not mean there are only that many.

If you want to prove you are 'right', then go ahead and setup your 8 servers and show the world how awesome your system is. We will be around to laugh when it fails.
