Bought my first BTC / Electrum

Hello all,

Bought my first BTC using Electrum, looking to step security up with the same convenience of its platform.

What about...

1. Installing Electrum with a bootable Ubuntu in a flash drive, generating new wallets -offline- in a formatted netbook which will not connect to the Internet anymore

2. Transfering BTC using my laptop (which connects to the Internet and has Electrum installed managing the wallets with the BTC) to the offline wallets

3. From now on, any transaction will be done in the offline netbook and updated to the blockchain via online laptop with a usb flash drive


....or is there any other way to export the wallet.dat with a usb flash drive so that I don't have to spend BTC 0.001 in transaction costs?
