Lots of people have suggested and asked for lower denominations from BTCC Mint.

We started the business with making premium coins, for the savvy and wealthy collectors.
Now it's time to serve the other end of the market!  Smiley

Which lower denomination Bitcoins would you like to see from BTCC Mint?

Multiple choice, and you can select up to 5 of the following 8 choices:
- BTC0.50
- BTC0.25
- BTC0.10
- BTC0.05
- BTC0.025
- BTC0.010
- BTC0.005
- BTC0.001

thanks,
Bobby

Thanks for doing this.  I have bought your 1 and 5 BTC versions but would love to have a bunch of smaller denominations to gift to people!

I voted for .25BTC and .5BTC. Anything under those amounts just feel so small to me for some reason. Silver and Brass have been done to death and you guys already did a lot of Titanium. I would love to see some other metals used!

How about custom transaction only coins.

If a block pays you 12.76 for example make a .24btc coin and use the coinbase (12.5) for your other coins.  I dont know every idea is getting beat to death

That's a new idea!  Certainly, every such coin would be unique (much like the Bitcoin Block themselves)...

But would anyone be interested in buying them?  It's like a complete gamble, as every "coin" will be of different size practically.

We can certainly do it... but is it just novelty?

How much in BTC premium are you (or others) willing to pay for such an arrangement?

the reason we're able to make the 5-set of the Five Bitcoin so nice (nice large coin in Titanium, nice big wooden box, and full packaging experience) is because of the relatively large premium we're charging.

If customers cannot afford to pay a premium, then it won't justify the custom molds and limited runs.

So help us do the math:  what denominations, and what total price?
(I have a feeling that if we do make this, people will complain that whatever we eventually charge is too high...  What do you think?)

thanks,
Bobby

0.01 + 0.05 + 0.1 + 0.25 + 0.5 = 0.91 BTC

The price would vary on how limited the run will be. Titanium is very cheap and the costs of the moIds are easily covered by a large run. I guess 1.5 - 2 BTC would be a fair price.

I definitely like the idea of a set of five lower denomination coins. I also like the idea of you guys branching out and using different metals. Perhaps a limited run of gold or silver coins? Very few gold coins are done here but I think that there would be a decent amount of interest since the fit and finish of the coins you have made so far is great and I'm sure you guys would do it right.

Side topic but since you are answering here, thank you for posting pre halving coins total but can you tell me how many 1btc coins are left for sale, thinking of buying a couple more.  Thanks.

Edit: oh and im down for a low denomination 5 coin set.  Your 1btc coins carried a .1 premium, so .50 premium should be doable for you and acceptable from the market.

I don't think that'll happen:

I would love to see a Platinum 1BTC coin released. I do not think anyone has dropped a Platinum coin yet.

The problem with Platinum is similar to the use of Gold and Silver, which I have mentioned before:

Essentially, certain countries have very strict restrictions on the import and export of precious metals, such as Gold and Silver.  The countries I can think of are USA and China, and possibly many more.  These rules affect our exporting (from China), and will affect how your country receives them via customs.  This is especially true of the precious metals get made into "coin" form, which could trigger real money mintage and currency issuance issues (regulatory and legal liabilities).

Basically, I foresee this as a whole mess that we really don't want to get into (unless we were our own government and had the banking of a central bank!)

Your thoughts?

Or, hope to get your understanding on this matter... that we're almost never going to be able to make and sell coins made of Gold, Silver, or Platinum.

The only exception would be for us to make them, and you come over here to pick them up in Shanghai.  For that, the production run would be really limited, and the costs and premiums could be quite high.

Now, if there's enough interest, anything is possible.  If you guys really want it, please help gather people, pre-order, and we can consider doing a custom run for really low volumes, so that everything is pre-sold and paid for, and never listed on the store.

thanks,
Bobby

Also, if you want to fetch a higher premium you could consider selling numbered sets (for example 1-100). You can combine this with selling unnumbered coins for a lower premium. That should satisfy avid collectors and people who are just starting to collect (or looking for a safe way to store their bitcoins).

How about engraving the block number(s) that the coin(s) were mined from onto the coin(s)? Not sure why I just finally thought about that, but I think that would be pretty cool, although I agree on the numbered set idea as well. Cheesy

I second the block number on the coin.  For people who want to collect coins from certain blocks or try to collect all of the coins from a certain block.  You can do it now but it will make it easier to do instead of saying hey anyone have this coin address they can say they are looking for coins from block 12345

I voted for 3 options, 0.1BTC, 0.25BTC, and 0.5BTC.

After reading TheNewAnons comment in the other thread, a set of 5 coins, presented in something luxurious, would be the my top choice, if it was available. Going in denominations from 0.01BTC ( or similar ) to 0.5BTC. This will leave the set open to people who just cannot afford to spend 6BTC on one of your 5BTC coins. I would love one, but feel that it is a lot of BTC to tie up in one coin.

Thanks for asking for our opinions Bobby Smiley

How much in BTC premium are you (or others) willing to pay for such an arrangement?

the reason we're able to make the 5-set of the Five Bitcoin so nice (nice large coin in Titanium, nice big wooden box, and full packaging experience) is because of the relatively large premium we're charging.

If customers cannot afford to pay a premium, then it won't justify the custom molds and limited runs.

So help us do the math:  what denominations, and what total price?
(I have a feeling that if we do make this, people will complain that whatever we eventually charge is too high...  What do you think?)

thanks,
Bobby

Thanks for your response Bobby, and for taking my comment into consideration.

Lets go through some figures, and see what you think.

0.01BTC, 0.05BTC, 0.1BTC, 0.25BTC, and 0.5BTC = 0.91BTC in Titanium coins ( example).

Have you considered any other metals besides Titanium for your coins? Silver for example? I feel gold/platinum - suggested by others - should be exclusive to one high value coin.

That is my personal opinion - I do not have the pockets that some others do Wink

If this was presented in something similar to this ( or even nicer?? Cheesy ): Luckybit - I would personally be prepared to pay a premium of 50-60% for it.. You can add the value of any precious metal to that. ( edit 3: scrap that, no precious metal )
I feel that the price would be worth it, but again, I speak for myself only.

If you were to produce, say 100 sets, is that feasible to you, costwise?
If not, what about 250 sets? Anymore than this would, imo, would take away any exclusiveness of such an item.

We collectors love something like this. We also love the chance for our thoughts to be considered, so thank you.

Zepher

Edit: All in all, for a numbered set, in 999 silver Titanium, with those denominations.. what about 1.7BTC ( 100 sets )?

Edit 2: Okay, no Silver, for customs etc. Are Titanium Coins an option for you in smaller sizes? ( what about other metals? )

I have edited this post ( around 10 ) times as different things come to mind Cheesy

I believe Bobby has already replied on another thread that they will never be making coins using silver gold or any other precious metal due to customs and all that hassle stuff, unfortunately. Tongue

Also, heck with the numbered sets - engrave the block number of the coinbase reward funding the coin onto the rim or back.  Cool

thanks

I believe Bobby has already replied on another thread that they will never be making coins using silver gold or any other precious metal due to customs and all that hassle stuff, unfortunately. Tongue

Also, heck with the numbered sets - engrave the block number of the coinbase reward funding the coin onto the rim or back.  Cool

thanks

cough, I will edit, cough

Low denominations, would be nice to see those, I voted above. See what people preferences are.

Made some suggestions for coin ideas in the other thread but post them here too:

Coin ideas, mmmmh, my name is coin@coin for a reason LOL

Precious metals I agree with BTCC here, anything to have them shipped safely and without killing it on customs fees I'm in favour.

Maybe other metals like brass, copper, various others which are unusual but could be original. Have you considered plating in silver, gold, antique brass, etc?
2 or 3 coins sets in different finishes, seems to be getting some traction from several current manufacturers. Plating shouldn't be an issue for shipping.

Have you seen the Satoricoin? Why don't you release some inexpensive "Casino Chip" like BTCC coins with low amounts, sold in sets of 10 or 20.
With some really cool designs! I'd love some of these.

Smaller denominations are best for my pockets too.

I think I've mentioned this before but a 12.5 BTC set made up of 5 coins with different denominations: 0.50, 1, 2, 4, 5 BTC, all from the same block totalling 12.5 BTC,
and if block reward is over 12.5 one of the coins gets the extra, each set will have slightly different BTC amount.

3 stars 12.5 BTC Blocks, but as someone else mentioned, even 1 BTC blocks or smaller denomination sets of blocks.

I like the idea of smaller denomination sets too from as low as 0.05 up to 1 BTC.

Also seen you guys can mint, some limited edition sets especially in lower denominations following a theme or an event... with different designs, numbered.
Animal series, zodiacal signs series, Chinese calendar series, PokemonGo series... I mean so many ideas out there. Can even have a form on your site to submit ideas the better ones get a prize Smiley

Also don't forget your coins look pretty nice I am so sure many would be willing to buy BTCC DIY coins.

Oh and finally "block rewards on demand". Someone pays for a 12.5 block or even 5 BTC, or 1... And they can specify the address where it is sent to.
They get the coin or block with hologram (DIY version) and they assemble it themselves.

Can you share any news about the 1.000 bits coin? Any release date, price, if it will come individual or in rolls?

I voted for the 5 lowest prices because that fits mine budget the most. Did check the current sale but that coins are little bit to expensive for me. Already own three coins and looking for more coins to buy in the future.
