I managed to make my ASUS R.O.G. STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING 6GB (Micron Memory) stable at 24.x MH/s with the following settings.
Power Limit: 116
Core Clock: +110
Memory: +65
Base Boost is 2088MHz/4551 MHz.

I tried lowering the power limit to save power but it will drop the hashrate to 22 below.

Im currently using Genoil ethereum miner (no DevFee).

Did you test with OC memory clock abit more? Memory clock speed is good and essential for ETH, you just increase +65, I think you can increase more further.

It seems I forgot to add 0 in Memory: +650.
I do remember I was able to make it worked at +700 but only in Claymore and will crash after 30 mins.

lol, I thought you over clock the memory too low at +65, haha~~

Thanks for your info anyway, at least we know +700 is unstable.

GTX 1060 Palit 3 GB GPU0 in the picture giving me almost 260 sols with less than 80 watt consumption. Nowadays especially here in Italy with the electricity price of 0.16 Euro kwatt power efficiency is the thing miners should worry most about. I don't worry anymore. Soon I will build another Zcash miner with 5 x GTX 1060 and only 500 watt total consumption together with the motherboard. GPU1 if you are wondering is GTX 1050 ti and is using only 60-62 watt consumption.

What zcash miner are you using that displayed this watt consumption?
My Palit GTX 1060 Super Jetstream managed to reached 320 sol/s but it consumes 100w.
My setting is Mem: +450 GPU: +110

Maybe he is with stock clock 260sol/s and you're with +110 overclock at 320sol/s.

I see.
I just got my new ASUS STRIX ROG GTX1060 6Gb with Samsung memory.
Still playing with OC but I managed to get 23.598 MHs ETH at 75w usage.
This card can reached 25 MHs but I was not able to get stable OC settings yet.
Will try tonight.

Just an update, I managed to make it up to 24.4MHs ETH at 60C Temp 77w power usage (nvidia-smi.exe) on this card.
My Micron memory ROG card only yield 24.01MHs ETH at the same 77w power usage but 55C Temp.

Now my Palit Hynix card is mining at zcash right now and I only managed to make it at 90W power usage, 66 Temp @ 300sol/s.
I would have mined it at ETH if it can only go further than 19 MHs.

I just want to warn you before, I'm making some test in the meantime cause I think I've found my main problem by myself, but I'll still share it with you in case someone has to say something else about it.

When I'm mining CCMiner 2.0, I get around 49 MH at 85% power on my ''good'' evga cards. The problem is, the hashrate and gains I make with it are inferior than when I use CCminer 1.7.xx

CCMiner 2.0 = Bigger local hashrate, less hashrate at the pool and less gains.
CCminer 1.7 = I get about 39-40 MH instead of my ccminer 2.0 49 MH, but I have a stable hashrate at pool, and a stable mining income.

( Yeah, I don't understand either, but would like to )

I'll continue my test further tomorrow after 2 days of mining with CCminer 1.7.xx then turn my miners back to CCminer 2.0

This is for Myriad-Groestl mining

In the meantime, Can't wait to get my other pci-e Riser, as I've started to shop for another 6 gpu rig Smiley

I also notice this issue. At some ccminer version (or mod version), I can see nice local hashrate, but unstable hashrate at pool, but some version with less local hashrate but stable pool hashrate.

Please do test further and update us the result. Thanks!

With 1060 you gain 40Mh?  How? What ever I do it wont go over 23.5. What OC settings?

btw. zotac amp edition with samsung memory 78%, core 100, memory 1000 = 25,3 Mh ETH

Anyone has the GTX 1060 AERO ITX 6G OC or at least an ITX 1060 card (the little ones)?

I am trying them at 0/100 core and 550/600 Memory (Mircon) clock, I get around 22 MH/s but the miner crashes often.

I am using the latest Nvidia driver (385.28).

Hi,

Im have 2 x 1060

1 x ASUS Geforce GTX 1060 6GB Turbo Edition
1 x EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 6GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC), Only 6.8 Inches Graphics Card 06G-P4-6161-KR

OC
Power = 65%
Clock = +107
Mem = + 935

I get 24.8mh from them each, at 75-80 watt from asus  and 73-75 watt evga
then after 2-3h msi afterburner crashes then i get 25mh each!

http://prntscr.com/g9n9qa

But then i have this http://prntscr.com/g9na1e

the power goes up 10watt on my wattmeter plugged in wall,

TOTAL = 222W
before = 212W

safe to run like this ?  Roll Eyes

Just received 8 x Asus Duals 1060 3gb versions. A few weeks ago I got the 6gb versions and they were amazing so I pulled the trigger on the 3gb cards for what I thought was a good deal. Opened them up today and... silicon lottery threw me a batch of Hynix. They're not even worth the power they consume. Straight back. Thanks a lot Asus!! All it takes is one bad order, I'll probably never buy another ASUS product again.

15 MH/s for these cards.

Hi guys,

So I've been fiddling a bit trying to OC my GPU's into getting a better hashrate

I have 1 GTX 1060 3GB with Hynix memory and 1 GTX 1060 6GB with samsung memory.

These are my current OC settings when mining Skein

GPU 1060 3GB <Hynix>:
Power Limit: 80
Temp limit: 74
Core clock +80
Memory clock +610
Fan: auto
Amount of watt: 95

I get around 252 MH/s

GPU 1060 6GB<Samsung>
Power Limit: 80
Temp limit: 74
Core Clock +100
Memory clock +610
Fan: auto
Amount of watt: 118

Here I get around 303 MH/s

Together: around 252 MH/s

I *think* the Hynix GPU is close to its maximum, but is there a way to squeeze a bit more out of the Samsung GPU and lowering the amount of watts at the same time? Since Samsung RAM allows a bit more OC'ing?

I read that some brands like Zotac (and Palit maybe?) tend to use only Samsung memory and not hynix. Is this correct? I could get my hands on some Zotac AMP! 3GB, hesitating...

U can make it 18-19 but I agree it's waste of energy. 1050 TI makes almost 16.

It's a better chance but it seems like the manufacturers used Samsung a lot in the earlier production models. We're seeing a lot more micron and hynix now as they're trying to keep up supply. Although I do have a mixed rig of 1070's and my best performing card is the Zotac GTX 1070 AMP edition and it has micron memory. It dual mines ETH + DCR at 29 and 580 MH/s. The best part is that I run it at 55% power where all the other ones need to be at 62-75% TDP.

I agree, I'd rather have 1050 ti's for a lot less than 1060's go for to get the same performance. A lot of people are commenting that recent orders of 3gb cards are shipping with Hynix.

Your 1050ti is impressive, do you mind to tell us the brand and model? And do you overclock?
