I have just created myself a vanity address and I understand that I need to import the private key to my wallet.  I am using Bitcoin Core v0.12.1 and have tried to do this using the console and "importprivkey" command, but after accepting the command, nothing else seems to happen.  The instructions I was following said my address should now show in "Address book" but I don't have an address book tab, only Overview, Send, Receive and Transactions.  I have figured out how to make a paper wallet in the meantime, so I could eventually scan the QR code with my mobile Bread wallet, but I really want to put it on my PC.  Is there a way to do this?  Or a better way that I'm missing?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

your rank states that you re new here.anyway you can create a new wallet.dat file with that specific private key or else as you are saying you have imported it then goto send option and see there you find it or not because from anywhere your funds will go so find the source
