Other than a couple articles posted is there any reason for this rise today? Just curious I've been out of crypto for about almost a year and all of a sudden my NLG has jumped. Sux to see I lost my stuff on cryptsy though lol. Oh well.

Please read the previous several pages. Adoption is steadily increasing and value along with it. I'm sure there are other reasons but that is the overarching driver as I see it.

Yes of course! Mining is less and less profitable as difficulty is rising, so less and less Gulden created daily. When I actively mining, I could mine, with 50 mhs, around 100k Gulden/month, now with the same hashpower I can get around 15k. So Gulden became scarce all of a sudden and market is responding to that!

That is just a butt hurt trader who dumped 2 million around the 1100 mark. He has had that sell order at 1337, 1666 and now 1999 as the market rises. He's trying to depress the price so he can get back in.

Does someone know if this site http://nlgstats.nl/ is still being maintained? In particular this chart: http://nlgstats.nl/charts/total_NLG_at_bittrex.html

hi Frais,

Yes, its still being maintained by @Markanth. But it might be a bit off because it only counts known addresses and due to new accounts of the last days these newly added Guldens are not counted in yet. If you do some math in the top50 at Bittrex you will notice this difference.

Difficulty is rising because the hashrate on the network is rising, balancing it out so that around the same number of coins per day are mined.
That's how it is supposed to work.
Now your same 50mh/s are a far smaller amount of the network hashrate, resulting in an equivalent smaller part of the coins mined.
At this moment of writing there are ~9.5GH/s on the network and your 50mh/s equal to ~0.5% of it.
The hashrate is simply following the money, moving to where it seems the most profitable to mine.

More and more people become interested in Gulden seeing it's direction and potential, that's what the market is responding to.

Really fun to watch how people are trading for more Gulden and you have the other half trading for more btc. This is healthy.

Hold btc for a nice 5% increase in 2 months and watch Gulden surpass litecoin as I have always predicted.

I always enjoy your posts mate and I remember you making that prediction a very long time ago. Doesn't seem as outlandish now as it did then.

I've seen you talk about prices and how they relate to coins being moved on and off Bittrex. What are your thoughts on the huge drop of coins available on Bittrex over the last few weeks. It seems we have a lot of long term holders coming on board as opposed to traders trying to make a quick buck.

What I am seeing is its harder for individuals to control the market like they once did. Any dumps will be recovered rather quickly and low prices will be eaten up fast. More then 5 dumps in the last month during the rise and nothing is stopping the momentum.

The 2 million sell order has moved up twice. This trader looks like he wants to prevent a pump to get more coins. That 2 million will continue to move up the sale side.

I would not be leaving 2 million NLG at this price on a exchange.

I would agree unless, he has 20 million more...  Grin  Wish I could afford to waste money like that!

Nobody. Though the people we have selected for beta testing will know over the next few days.
If you are in a rush to know watch our development repo at https://github.com/Gulden/gulden-official that will be one of the first places to be updated.
