Must tread water purchases-wise for a coupla days, 'til the price lifts a little -- but just $50 worth of Uno puts us back in the range of recent days: amazing!

I have 100 Uno for sale @ .000225 per.

Christmas-Day Bitcoin-$-price guessing competition (with tiny prize): https://tuxexchange.com

IMZ 840/ rat 995/ Bitcoin National 650/ miniteef 770/ bitpython 830/ Ian Ridgwell 812/Shinohai 750/ UKLegend420 1200/ Horus 691.43/ roboter 777

Feel free to have a guess.

Odd day today -- apart from me offering to sell Uno at 0.000225: lots and lots of red on Coinmarketcap. Uno is down. (Who'd want to sell 100 Uno at 0.00195? How much did they buy them for?)

EDIT: Well, world watchers?? 'Italy has been plunged into political limbo.'* -- yup, okay. 'Markets are relaxed'* -- okaaaaay. Government money will save the day -- can they do that?

But Bitcoin is still rising in price, though it dropped after both the Brexit and the Donald. Ether is down to .008. But Uno has already risen back above 0.0022.

[Perhaps we should start notating Bitcoin's price a little differently: '$764/11K' would mean '$764 price and 11,000 unconfirmed transactions.' I learned last weekend that Btc slows to a crawl at about 30K unconfirmeds. So, '$801/15K' is nice; '$801/65K' is a disaster.]

I posted this link over at the ANN thread; but I'll state my case here: we could and should be leaders in helping Ordinary People both improve their general Net security and help them adopt cryptos -- that is, make the two one.

I got tired of being ignored on the subject when I broached it years ago (when we first met IMZ). "Oh noes! Sekoority is just TOO HARD" No one seemed to want to so much as discuss the subject.

Meanwhile I'm still hoarding all I can, and due to the very security-conscious attitude of my fellow WoT users, I have yet to suffer a loss of coins.

YOU are responsible for your own security people. No one else.  Smiley

And here in a quiet corner: I stated some time ago why I don't accept the-$-value argument of altcoin analysis.

The only one that concerns me is the low points on 'the brown line' -- Btc value -- in the last coupla years of a crypto's development.

For Uno, that was 0.00177, earlier this year. This week Uno's price sank to within a penny of that figure.

If a coin doesn't at least hold its value against Btc*, then it's not a 'store of value' -- Uno's btc-value has been steadily declining for 18 months, and a range of other problems remain unaddressed.

IMHO: the arrival of the Cryptsy coin will decide the fate of Uno. If value holds steady at any price, no matter how 'low' that might be, then we stand a fighting chance. At this moment though? Unobtanium is a stone's throw from obscurity.

*I can only imagine how angry folks will be to hear the following: why is Uno better than Bitcoin? Cause Btc is hopelessly 'inflationary,' while Unobtanium has only to absorb a trickle of new coin each day. Well then . . . why has Btc's price been steadily rising while Uno's has been steadily falling? Surely that means that Bitcoin is a better coin: if it can increase in value in spite of all this inflation, think how well it'll do when that inflation really begins to drop!!

tl;dr: no free lunches. Develop or dwindle.

The bids on Bitsquare have perhaps been up a while. They're priced between .00310 and .00275
