Yes you are a very rich man, from peoples trust. Just like the ASIC companies we have watched over the years. I worry not. If you are a thief karma will find you. We will find out in a long time. Don't be BFL... Smiley

I am excited and hopefully you get a order in. ETA 2~hours!

It's not my money.. I'm just performing a service of pooling everybody's money together and hosting the units.

Almost 169 BTC received to order Avalon units, accepting more investors, make sure to PM me.

EDIT: Do not trust the imitators. I will not steal your money. They might.  Grin

Hey, I was one of those imitators. I wanted to offer something for Europeans who might wish to visit the set up. But I received a private proposal that made me cancel my offer - it will be easier and electricity will be cheaper than what I proposed.

Anyhow I like this community initiatives, I also sent you money for the Avalon. I don't think you should say "do not trust the imitators", that looks a bit scammy. The point is to give people as much options possible depending on where they live, not to accumulate the higher amount of btc to invest.

Sorry to offend you. I think everyone should be careful in this day and age. Thanks for investing with me Smiley

That said, we're at 174 BTC - ALMOST enough for two Avalons. C'mon guys!

So what will happens in time? you will do this forever?, what will happens with the unit when it is not profitable? will you send it for BTC and share the earnings?
It is a responsibility that you will have to keep for a very long time.

This is true. Please commit to a minimum timeframe you will be running the unit, for eg:

"I will run the unit for minimum 12 months. After that, I will sell it for BTC which will be forwarded to investors proportionally. This will happen unless the majority of shareholders are willing to keep mining with it"

I plan on running the ASICs until it is not profitable to do so anymore.

I am a miner already, I run a 10,000Kh LTC farm, so it's no trouble for me to host a couple extra ASICs too.

We are still at 174 BTC. I'm not sure what the price will be, so I'm still accepting investments. I would like to get at least one extra module for one of them, that would be legit!

I'm going to stop accepting payments in about 20-30 minutes, because the transactions will need some time to be confirmed, and I want to make sure to get our order in.

Though I'd prefer dividends to be paid to an alternate address, that can be arranged hopefully (I'll sign a message from that address).

Well, there are almost 237BTC in our pool address.

IMPORTANT:I requested a while ago document scan to verify the identity of the OP, with no reply yet. As we are reaching a sensitive amount of money being handled by an "anonymous person of the internet", I propose for him to send a scan of his documents to a trusted Hero member, who will disclose them to this thread in case the OP run with the money/the avalons.

CoinHoarder: In this way you don't have to send your ID/disclose your real identity to all the individual users in this thread. Does this sound good to you?

For what it's worth, he sent me ID/utility bill/eBay account info. I'm not a hero member or an expert, but it looks legit.

I'll leave it up to CoinHoarder to disclose any other information he wishes.

Conditions quoted for posterity:

Do you not have enough BTC to buy a batch 3 Avalon, or are you not willing to risk 75 BTC on a pre-order?

Well... me either, pre-orders for Avalon Batch #3 open tomorrow morning and will likely sell out quickly.

I am offering to collect funds to represent a group of investors here at Bitcointalk.org to buy a batch 3 Avalon ASIC. Read the following terms carefully before investing with me. You are basically buying a piece of an Avalon ASIC that I will host myself for a small fee.

Why you should trust me? I am just your average crypto coin enthusiast that really wants to get an ASIC he cannot afford at the moment. I figure there are a lot of people in the same boat as I am, so there might be enough people interested to make this happen. I am in good standing in the community here on Bitcointalk.org. I have traded, bought, and sold over $10,000 of computer equipment with many users here on the forums with absolutely no problems. I am as trustworthy as they come, all I want is to provide a service for people that can't afford Avalons. Grin

Terms:
  • Dividends will be payed monthly to the Bitcoin address you send your original investment with. (Make sure you can both send and receive Bitcoins from this address!!)
  • Before dividends are divided up and payed, electricity costs (~.12 Kwh), a 3% hosting fee, and the pool's fee (yet to be determined) will be taken out of the net profits.
  • Shipping costs will be taken out of the first dividend payment.
  • Dividends will be paid proportionally according to each investors initial investment [investing 1 BTC in a 75 BTC ASIC gets you 1/75 of the profits (after subtracting electricity costs and a 3% hosting fee).]
  • If there's not enough Bitcoins collected to buy an Avalon ASIC, then all funds will be immediately refunded to the address with which they were sent.
  • If I collect enough funds for more than one Avalon, then I will purchase however many the group fund can afford.
  • Any left over funds collected will be refunded to the last investors in line. Unfortunately, those investors left out will not receive any portion of dividends (for the amount they were refunded), but nonetheless will be refunded 100%.
  • I will use this thread to keep investors updated for now, until a better solution is determined in the near future.

How to invest:
  • Minimum investment is 1 Bitcoin
  • Send your investment to 1QHZohmAdip28TM7U6KsyRXUrbvRvadtZB
  • Reply with the Bitcoin address you are sending from and the total amount you are investing.
  • I will confirm in the OP that you have payed and reserved your shares in the group buy.

Reply ITT or PM me with any questions. Ordering for Batch 3 opens in only about 7 hours, so if you are interested send your coins in ASAP![/list]

EDIT: Lowered hosting fee to 3%
