The Natural News Store is now accepting bitcoin payments for all orders. Bitcoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer, "revolutionary" electronic currency that bypasses central banks and government controls. All transactions are (virtually) free, and bitcoin money can be freely sent or received globally, from any country, with no regulations or restrictions.

"Given the erosion of fiat currencies like the U.S. dollar, we wanted to give our customers an option to pay with something more honest than Federal Reserve notes," said Mike Adams, editor of NaturalNews.com and health freedom activist.

Quote
Bitcoins have exploded in popularity after the recent Cyprus banking crisis, rising 84% in value in just the last two weeks. Yes, it's true: If you had bought bitcoins two weeks ago, you could have traded them for 84% more dollars. They've since dropped slightly from that peak, but just two years ago, bitcoins were being attacked by the mainstream media as a "speculative bubble" when they were only $3. Now they're $67 and are trending even higher.

NaturalNews has a pretty big audience, and Mike seems to get the Bitcoin concept quite well.

Wow another real world store accepting Bitcoin. This is also a healthy shop store, reminds me of a shop I bought some beer yeast from...probably a similar kind of shop...

There may still be hope for the 1st decentralized cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin. How to approach different subjects is key to progress.

This is a step in the right direction. If (small and medium) firms will make the effort to accept Bitcoin in their marketing and payment strategies, than the chance to reach markets otherwise too far will become a concrete possibility. Democratization of the Internet will not just mean easy access to information, but also easy access to economical markets for every “man in the street”.

Its funny how they apologize because they think they offer big shocking revelation. With zero proof, of course.

Yup, prepare to see 10,000 new threads perpetuating the 20 common bitcoin myths....
