Buying stocks in stock market and buying bitcoins are entirely different but both has its own advantages and disadvantages as i do consider both as assets and the risk involved in both are some what related and same as you really cannot predict the price of stock or bitcoin but the possibility of making a good profit is high when it comes to bitcoin because of the volatile nature.

I'm just curious, are they just the same?

I in a way they are. You buy altcoins when they are low and wait for the price to spike for the right time to sell them. It's pretty much buy low sell high concept. It's just that for stocks, it usually takes longer and is more passive while for bitcoin you can trade aggressively. And I think stocks is more stable and safe as you can purchase parts of large and established businesses and corporations.

In a way they are? The only common thing they have is they buying process, you give money for "something", after that everything is completely different. I don`t think buying stocks is easy and simple like buying bitcoins is. Bitcoin is currency and we can do many things with bitcoin, bitcoin have altcoins, that altcoin market is similar with stock market. You are looking for good coin that have future, like you are looking for company with decent reputation and potential to develop more in the future. In both of them, sources of informations are essential to have, and without reliable source and analytic mind you cant be trader and make profit on altcoin or stock market.

Buying in bitcoin by buying stock in the stock market is very different to me. If buying bitcoin I think the same as buying money, but digitally. While buying stock in the stock market we buy assets. I think maybe it's the difference by buying bitcoin by buying stock in the stock market. But in system both are the same my opinion.

Of course NOT. Bitcoin is a crypto-currency so more likely you could compare it to the forex trading currency pairs USD,EUR,JPY,etc. A stock represents a share which entitles the holder to a fixed dividend, whose payment takes priority over that of ordinary share dividends.

Buying bitcoins is like selling euro to buy dollars for example at an exchanger. But instead of that you sell euro to buy BTC. I hope my explanation was clear and you understood.  Grin

I think it is close in many ways. You need to be fast, smart and serious if you deal with huge sums in both cases. Apart from that, the price is changing all the time both on the stock market and on the buy/sell btc websites. The difference is that stock is attached to some specific companies and I guess you pay taxes using it. Bitcoin is tax-free and doesn't belong fully to anyone.

Bitcoin and stocks in stock market are very similar since they are very volatile but they are not the same. Bitcoin is a virtual currency, a currency like fiat but the difference is that it's transaction are done online via blockchain. Stocks on the other hand is not a currency, it is a share to some company that is gained by the investors investing in some company that they trust.

From one hand its the same as buying stocks, BTC its an investment and stocks are an investment.
On the other hand, BTC does not give you the right to get shares in the profits of a company like traditional shares

Yes it is similar if you want to buy cheaper and sell more expensive, so you want to make money on the price difference.

I'm just curious, are they just the same?

I do believe that bitcoin is more like commodities on digital world. Gold is one of commodities and its many people investing their money in gold in real world and i think bitcoin is like gold in digital and internet world.

Buying bitcoin is nearly the same as buying stocks in a stock market but there are also a lot of differences. Buying bitcoin is like buying a gold because the price is unstable and unpredictable. It can go higher or lower but you don't have any idea when. Buying stocks is like having an ownership on the stock market.

It is similar in a way but quite different at the same time. Stocks directly represent the capitalization and the success of the company. Instead, Bitcoin can get affected by the positive news, but not as much as stocks, it is a speculation at most. But stocks are a pure investment, instead bitcoin is a currency, has it's own market and is a stock itself, just with a much more depth to it. You can use Bitcoins to buy services, instead with stocks you can't.

Quite accurate, but not all positive news means a great effect to the price of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is like a semi-spendable cash these days now like it is being partially accepted in online payments and that differs it from buying in stock market. When defining through investment terms, Bitcoin is so much riskier as an investment these days because of the basics of its price movement, the instability. Stock market, your return depends on how successful the company becomes and that could be speculated in some way that you could look at the history and the structure of the company itself. In Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency as a whole, your return depends on the investors mostly likely but it is still unstable in nature. It has a bit similarities in stock market in some way that ICO also gets investments but that is much more riskier than stock market as ICO could just be easily falsified in the eyes of the investor and proving its legitimacy would take a lot more digging in the web in such cases that you're gonna invest in it after you have saw the project being made.

Bitcoin is not just a way of investment but it is the future of the digital currency all around the world. It is a mode of payment used by many peoples and it is also a great example of the use of blockchain technology. SO, I don't think that buying stocks is same as buying bitcoin due to its massive use in many ways.

There are very much same but here are some differences:

1) There is regulation in stock markets.

2) No anonymity in case of stock markets.

3) There are additional taxes in case of crypto which is generally higher than that of stocks.

4) Returns are much higher in case of crypto. The risks are also higher.

In principle it is almost the same, because this is an investment where bitcoin can profit if the price rises, while the stock can profit if the price goes up there is also a dividend distribution if the company gets a profit. If the loss / price falls, the risk of losing money. Because bitcoin is money, it can be used to pay for transactions, but stocks cannot be used to pay when we buy something.

almost the same, but the obvious difference is, bitcoin fluctuations that make prices rise and fall very fast. while stock market growth can be slower but more certain.

Some parts of investing in bitcoin are the same as in the stock market - like the investment strategies, but the others parts are different - like the investment process. Its the same in that you can choose to buy them in the stock market and the investment is similar to buying gold or other precious metals - you don't actually us them but wait until they rise in price then sell it for a profit, so it is a long term investment. On the other hand it is different because you are not paid dividends and its purely digital at the moment, making it some what volatile.
