 a bug in RandomHash2.

URandomHash2.pas

line 267

 LParentOutputs := Hash(ABlockHeader, ARound - 1, AFoundLastRound);
    if AFoundLastRound > 0 then
      // Previous round was the final round, so just return it's value
      Exit(LParentOutputs); //bug is here

There are 1/4 chances in round 2, returning results,without continue calculating the data behind,
Discarding some nones will result in hundreds of performance gains

I revisited the URandomHash2 code, the problem with the nonce scan still exists, and I found a new flaw.
Too small memory requirements will make FPGAs easier to implement.
Suggest:
1. Do not use final round in the middle state, miner must calculate the full round
2. Increase the M size so that the final memory requirement reaches 2MB or more.

@All @PASC

I have wallet version 4.1 installed currently on Linux.  The hard coded version.  It seems to works like my old copy (on another computer that took a dumb - I managed to move my keys).

The only thing missing is some/most of the history.  The "Data" folder grew up to 2.8GB from the original download of around 13MB.

I also moved some of the PASAs and 'test' coins to Blaise on Android.

My questions (first some background infos):

1. I was able to mine directly to the Blaise wallet public key.  So that is possible.

2. The status of RandomHash2 is not clear on the PIP list.  It is marked as Active.

3.  I am running a mining node on the open/free pool.

Q1:  The HR didn't seem to speed up yet according to tests done on the AMD FX 8-Core.

Q2:  Will the HF v5 kick in automatically with the current wallet version?

Thank you.

Is there any hope for this coin?

Yes.  For the beliebers, there is always hope.

IMHO:  I am waiting for the hard fork v5.  Power savings specifically if I have 1 or 2 threads running on my computer in the background instead of having 12 cores maxed out.   Wink

ETA on RH2 or did I miss it?

I did compile the source code and ran the testnet (1-2 weeks ago) but it doesn't seem to be a live.

@Dev

The TestNet V finds dns servers but cannot connect.

So it shows `alone in the universe`.

Q:  Do I need to open a port on the router or?

Thx,

Decentralized exchanges: How PascalCoin is evolving towards the future of cryptocurrency exchange.
https://medium.com/@pascalcoinblockchain/decentralized-exchanges-how-pascalcoin-is-evolving-towards-the-future-of-cryptocurrency-exchange-457ef6cf12d5

 In line with the Version5 protocol implementation, PascalCoin have developed and implemented the atomic swap feature as a vital part of the V5 upgrade, the atomic swap on Pascal blockchain works in the same way as the common concept of atomic swap, thus allowing a hash-locked and time-bound cryptocurrency exchange.

@Dev

I probably hit the testnet too hard.  But it's a good way to stress test it.

Getting a bunch of these:

Code:
11-09-2019 10:05:11.976 TID:7FE0533FC700 [Error] <TPoolMiningServer> Miner job 1/1 Calculated Pow > Min PoW ->  D81B057C2016B18DEA25824AD6A28583F80580B853745035017B4CD74434E4F7 > 0000087CBF200000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Code:
11-09-2019 10:11:11.498 TID:7FE0533FC700 [Error] <TJSONRPCTcpIpClient> Sending Error JSON RPC id (89) : Error: New block number (17050) not valid! (Expected 17051) executing Miner job 1/1 payload:6461656D6F6E5F31324358656F6E timestamp:1568211070 nonce:873776033

I did look through the source code and did see what I thought is anti too much HR at once prevention check.
I'm guessing that is the desired behavior.

FYI:  Ryzen7 2700x (stock cooler modded.  Took it apart and removed all the RGB stuffs Wink) and an older Xeon (Haswell-E).  Spare Linux/Unix servers that are normally off.

Other than that it seems to be solid.  I compiled from source.

Thanks.
