That would be interesting and that will attract more users to play the game. If Niantic Labs would do that, i expect that there will be a market for all items and pokemons where you can buy them using BTC. Or the concept of betting BTC when you are going to raid a gym. There are lots of things that you can do with bitcoin and games.
