Don't see how you can blame BFL for this any more than you can blame Avalon for the stupid eBay listings for their units.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Just "report" the auction.  Demanding buyers not pay with PayPal is prohibited.  Ebay will yank the listing for that reason alone.

But the post says "This is not a fraudulent post or a scam" so it must not be a scam!

Avalons exist - perhaps some of those listings are frauds but this item is a fraud

that's why I blame BFL.. they say it is 'out of stock' instead of saying, our bad, we refund mini rigs now and focus on reality

will do - I tried to tell the seller he is lookin foolish (he has decent rating) but best to do what you say

A lot of people over on the BFL forums don't especially care whether they get their promised mini-rig as long as they get their promised 1500 GH.  Potential eBay buyers may well be the same - especially if BFL isn't going to be offering a unit with that much hash power any time soon.  The desperation to acquire ASICs right now is truly mind-boggling and people are willing to overlook an awful lot in that pursuit.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

I will not accept PayPal due to the high fees and fraud potential.

Is an eBay ban waiting to happen.

This unit is now out of stock on the ButterflyLabs website. This order has already been paid for and accepted.

Out of stock because it's impossible to build because of the power requirements!

What you will get is 60x 25GH/s Little Singles or 30x 50GH/s Singles (assuming it's not a pre-order scam)
