If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.

If you learned of Bitcoin through a currently established member of this forum who feels that you are ready to be released to the rest of the forum or who is willing to mentor you, or if you want to make a new account that is separate from your already-existing established forum account, have the existing user/account vouch for you after you have made your request.

If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie board. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another board if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.

I've been reading up on bitcoins for years and am quite familiar with both it's services, history, and have accepted bitcoins officially since this year. Also I have a bit-pay and Mt gox account, have used bitinstant and coinapult not to mention have ordered using bitcoins several times.

PS. I've spent just today Total time logged in: 1 hours and 36 minutes. I have spent well over 24 hours total reading this forum this year.

I recently visited CPC electronics after I cancelled my order from Butterfly labs for their Little single SC ASIC miner, I want to thank the people in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=131446.0 for saving me from falling into a likely scam, I had my suspicions or I would not of been Googling "CPC electronics legit?" But this thread helped me confirm my suspicions. As such I have a useful piece of information regarding the matter I would like to add to the conversation. I have no other interest in posting beyond that for the time being.

Cheers

Hello, I would like to make a request as well. I understand your reasoning and respect it as well.

I would like to be able to message a few members dealing with financial business and opportunity as well as reply to certain threads that i feel need a quick response(additional information, corrections, and news).
I know 3 hours from breaking out of this forum and can wait if needed. But If i do meet the requirements of early release I would be most greatfull !

Thank you!

Hi there,

I would like to break out of the newbie jail.

I have a number of video games that I am looking to trade for Bitcoins.

Speaking toward my reputation--I run a software development blog, release BSD licensed free software, maintain a moderately active Twitter and Facebook account, and have a thorough LinkedIn profile. All of these can be verified by running a search on the this username.

Cheers,
Motoma

Obviously you dont let any body out of newbie jail anymore

What about people and their famlies over christmas period

What about the humanity of all, these poor people stuck in newbie jail and seperated from their famlies over this festive period

Staff members you need to have a cold hard look in the mirror

 Cheesy

Whitelist request.

Genuine user just recently getting into e-currencies.  Awesome forum and members - and I can certainly appreciate that this is largely in part to your newbie acceptance process.

Hope to learn much more and contribute as well.

Cheers.

i joined the forum to jump into the marketplace.  i know some things about bitcoin that a new user might not -- what a blockchain is, what a hash algorithm is, what mining is, what wallets are, etc.  i generally don't like to post unless it's absolutely necessary, so i could be stuck in the newbie forum for days unless you find it in your heart to grant me freedom.

I've been involved in Bitcoin for a long time, just haven't had a need to join the forum until now (want to buy something on the marketplace).

As far as having knowledge about Bitcoin, I implemented ECDSA using secp256k1 a few months back in PHP.  Point multiplication still haunts me to this day.

Would love to get at least pm access without having to wait. I will post more often and donate once my products are closer to being developed. One of my partners (BlackLilac) posts a bit more and has donated. For now I just require use of the pm feature to contact the owner of a gold exchange at which I just made a purchase. If any mod/admin has the time to give me access with waiting, I would appreciated it.

Thanks

I've come to Bitcoin primarily through watching and discussing the development of the latest alt-coin Freicoin, I've been on their private forums for a long time but would like to help present the new coin to people here (in the appropriate threads on the appropriate forums of course https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133020.0), maaku and jtimon can vouch for me.

Which I do. @Impaler has been a positive contributor to the Freicoin community, and I am sure will do the same here.

I'm an independent developer working on bitcoin-core, making my living off community donations.
