don't take the risk if it's about your education,if you're will be punished after being caught,then avoid to do that thing
if you want to go with your first idea,don't just serve crappy unhealthy drinks or anything else,atleast serve a healthy things which could bring their parent's interest so their mummy will be fine to spend some money for the sake of their children

I must say your area is a good for a cafeteria/ canteen type of business. As 3:30 kids usually tend to be hungry that time, your target there is groups of friends and parents who pick up their kids from school.

A canteen that serves food differently from what the school serves will make your business be profitable. Try researching what their canteen usually serves and more research on what your options are for the area you have.

for now I think the business can be profitable and comfortable is to make your own business such as trade, yes if we are dealing with the Internet it becomes very easy, because a lot of ways to promote our merchandise, terms critically important to trade is always to innovate merchandise we, our merchandise must be made different from the others though brang the same but has its own characteristics so that people will always be interested in our merchandise.

Franchising is a good business but you really need to consider  Location. As location is the main factor that can either make or break your business. For example thousands of Mcdonalds closed every year due to the fact of having a bad location. Also are you really considering investing big money when your target market are just kids across the road? Do you think they have the allowance to buy branded fast food? I think not. And I don't think a company will let you carry there name when your building it at your garage.

Sounds creepy but it's not as there would be a lot of students at the same time crawling all over the street also OP mentioned about parents picking up their kids , the shop would be the first place to be considered by the police to be involve when related to missing kids or somethimg related to what creepy means to you.

I think you have a good idea.every business is good if it is done for living but you should provide them with best product so they can remain healthy.you can also open book store/stationary if you want ,it can also help them in study.

anyway on topic, I think your idea is good, it is normal for businessman or entrepreneur to take advantage of the  population.  This kind of stuff is normal outside the school premises.  I am near to 3 elementary school and two high school establishment, and I see how kids buy on the street vendors outside their school.  If you can manage to make your business compliant to your area regulation, I dont see any problem you setting with this kind of business.

The crucial thing is the final part of your idea. If it will be like a informal shop/store/company whatever, and the things you're offering will be like candies and games (in my own view, because I'm little old and I have kids), it will gives you lotta trouble because some parents surely gonna do complaints in police station just to f*** up your "game" (that's what they will say about your business). It doesn't depend only of your neighborhood.. kids will come from other places and tell to others, and so on... Well, particularly I won't mess up with kids, it's a double problem. And just to finish... The strangest thing is the place you will transform. I mean, your garage or your garden? WTF? This will be the key to rase your plans. If the problem don't take big proportions, it will gives you just a headache because some 10 year boy will tell his parents without intention and they will think you're doin' wrong stuffs there plus the rights (like play pinball and smoke marijuana). It sound stupid but I saw this here in my town maybe 15 years ago. In that time I was the marijuana guy in the otherside of the street and in the otherside but in the corner a guy with ~18 years opened a place like you are planning. Some f**** up retarded kid who want to screw up the owner because of something personal told his father. Then, until the guy proved that they only played street fighter, he saw the judge couple of times and when I talked to him, he was shitting in his pants because he could have taken one year in jail and it was absolutely clear that the marijuana smell was from our group and we were like 30m from kids playing death metal. AHihaoihOAI it was a very fu*** up situation bro. You should analise it first.

Well this is going to be a good idea if a store is going to sell some fruits and going to receive payments with bitcoin. And I hope op is going to include fruits too and it is going to be a plus also if he is going to offer free delivery for the people who are just nearby to him. That is going to make his business boom.
