Can gambling be considered a "high risk investment"?

I know it isn't an investment, but in the last few years some "high risk" investment funds have appeared, and in them you can either lose it all or earn a lot of money.

Isn't this basically the same as gambling? Wouldn't it be faster to just deposit the amount in a casino? At least you'd be able to spend your earnings much sooner

Yes it is high risking but I don't think that gamble is an investment. You can say that it is investment when you purchase something from a company. It has the chance to grow and there is a possibility that you may lost.

i think all kind of investment in the sense that in every investment there is alsways a chance of loosing money for example if you are going to invest your money in alt cons so you are taking risk because there is a always a chance that the alt in which you invested your money can devalue. and you can lose your money, therefore  if you want to make money you must take risk and without taking risk you cannot make money.

In this situation, gambling can only be considered as an investment if we are making money on it, either we are just a player or a bankroll investor as long as we are earning that is called investing, however it is to risky if you are playing rather than investing.

that is in fact true,even investing in long term stocks and bonds can be a high risk investment ,you can never predict what the future holds,where does gambling stands in terms of investment,you cannot even call it as a mode of investment, gambling house has the highest edge,so you will loose eventually

I agree with you, for me gambling is not like investment. because when you invest, you know the details of the investment and its probable return. gambling on the other hand is risking your money without guarantee of money return.

Yup there are both risky because investing is your just risking your money too there and you don't have full enough control on your investment for me its better to gambling than to invest money because for me you have control on your money if you played with your money right and you will win up to 3x

with a bankroll which is rather big the only thing you can do is to manage your losses in a better way but the losses will always be a part of the game, it is a part of the deal.

the only difference would be about how you handle them if you have enough bankroll you can cover the losses and win some of it back but if you run out of bankroll you are screwed.

In addition to what others have said, for anything to be considered to be an high risk investment then I guess that some elements of returns is possible although the risk is high, but you still get some forms of returns but that cannot be said of gambling as the returns on the money youre intending to put is not for whatever reason sure whether it will come back or not. You are assuming to have lost your money when gambling and thats not a factor of something to be an investment whether low or high...

If you expect some return from your gambling, you may call gambling as an investment option, that too high risk investment opportunity because gambling will not guarantee for any returns for the money we are putting into it. Yup there are both risky because investing is your just risking your money too there and you don't have full enough control on your investment for me its better to gambling than to invest money because for me you have control on your money if you played with your money right and you will win up to 3x

According to me, both are very risky. Suppose if we invest money in any casino sites. After few months the site will go down means our investment will go. In Gambling it is not like that if you have luck, you will make a huge profit. Particularly in sports betting if you know about games that's it you can place a bet on safe games and make a profit. So now I feel like gambling is better to compare Investment.
