Thank you for clearing this up. I believe rules like these are a necessity.

I have spent hours reading various sections of this forum and I found a lot of very useful information here that I couldn't find anywhere else.

I'm also looking at integrating bitcoins in my regular business. I'll let you know about my experiences with this a bit later, as it's still too early

well it took a day and a half to get out of newbie jail...
doubt the average troll would bother..

what is the average troll eight years old.. knows how  to type.. or some old wino in a wife beater shirt?

i was lucky, time went by i actually did some worthwhile writing in those four hours-two days..

i did a post 'beowulf' cant find it, look if you are into a beowulf project

Well i've been a member for a few months and just have not posted in Newbie section to get my postcount to 5...I can understand having rules it just sucks for those of us that only post when we have something worthwhile to say and I admit I like to read/research more than post and end up getting my thread crapped on by trolls so now here i am 3 months and on post 3 and still can't post my positive experience from buying from someone in the marketplace lol..well two more to go I guess.

Also, I do greatly appreciate this site and all of the helpful peeps and info available here.  Take care all

AhhhARGH, i understand restrictions, but could there be an exception for https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117725.0 so users can request to link their Bitcointalk name with BTCJam!?

Don't repeat that nonsense. I know no other forum that has restrictions like this, and I am running several myself.

I cant believe this is still going just close the post.

If they closed it, someone would just start a new thread , complaining about restrictions....right/wrong?! Plus, removing this would eliminate a few posts that Newbies need to get their count up to, its 1 thread that you can voice your opinion, and move on to posting worth reading material/responses.

Just my opinion.

Then surely a 1 BTC donation should be able to buy us newbies out of newbie-jail? Or deposited as some sort of non-trolling bail?

Great idea. Except for those of us trying to get into the main site so we can buy a small amount of BTC off a trusted member and try out our new found linux usb/cold storage/wallet knowledge!
