Not sure how much more clear it can be. There's also a sticky thread.

Well, I saw all of that fine, but I seem to only accumulate time while writing a post. So I guess I will be forced to "spam" the boards to get my time to advance. At this rate, I should be able to post in Slush's thread by Xmas..

I know what im doing when it comes to computers, ive had 3 websites , made 2 iphone apps and did other "things" but it took me forever to find out how to become a full member YOU HAVE TO TELL NEW MEMBERS TO POST IN THE NEWB FORUM WHEN THE REGISTER .

Hey, it took me ten minutes. It's the first time I've found something challenging on a forum and maybe those ten minutes could have been spent better.

My Credentials  | THE BTC Stock Exchange | I have my very own anthology! | Use bitcointa.lk, it's like this one but better.

I consider the rules a little harsh on the newbies, but the forum is an excellent resource and perhaps admins are trying to preserve the relevance.

The rules are fine but it's not clear to newbie's what they have to do. There really should be a link in the menu or under help that explains the process a bit better. I've been using the forums now for the last month and was found it frustrating when I couldn't post nor could I find a way to do it. I had to search through the newbie forum while I spent my time in the mining forums...

The checkbox was added around a month ago. The rest of the "agreement" was there for much longer.

"Total time logged in: 4 hours and 4 minutes."
And I can't still post or start new threads. Any idea?

I read somewhere it may take up to 10 minutes, it's all automated.

Finally, I understand this.  I was looking all around trying to figure out how to post, now I know.

I am working my way to be able to post into the marketplace.

I do see that you have to do something against spammers, but as i registered here i couldnt find out why i wasn't allowed to reply to posts (i over read the warnings). Maybe you could make these restrictions more visible....

Im online for three hours now and happily awaiting to post in this forum.

Creating a minimum post count just make people post more useless posts.

- Yeah, you're right.
- You are correct.
- Good decision.

What about sticking to time spend on forum and one post so people can present themselves?

Except now I have to make empty messages of content to get those 5 posts created so i can really post where i want hah...

I agree, do we just have to make random posts until we are allowed to post where we want? I really need to contact another member about wedding shoes as I cant access their website and they have no email - pure luck that I found them on here!!!

Sure, but they are only here in the newbies section.  See how that works?

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

- Carroll Quigley, CFR member, mentor to Bill Clinton, from 'Tragedy And Hope'
