I am from India and we have overall population of more than 1.25 billion people. Since we are talking about bitcoin users, there are around 10K bitcoin users in India which is far less than 0.01% of overall population. I am considering this as seeds and the fact is more than 65% population is below age 35 so there is tremendous scope for new technologies and business in my country.
As of now, I am unaware of any major business in India (other than bitcoin businesses) accepting bitcoins. I mainly use bitcoins to transact for my internet / mobile bills. I’m sure we will definitely emerge as major bitcoin user base in near future. Our pro development government is cherry on top for bitcoins in my opinion.
Agreed, I am from India too and I don't think that bitcoin is too popular yet, there are very few people who are using it and its hard to find any shop to use bitcoins directly at a moment. I think the popularity of bitcoin can be viewed from a variety of things you can see around your bitcoin users. if the user bitcoin pretty much around you is very likely bitcoin already popular in your area. and you can see a lot of stores that accept bitcoin as a payment method But its hard to know who is using it and who is not, as you cannot come to know the actual number of users using bitcoin and many of them prefer to remain silent and disclose that they are using it. true, as indeed in the bitcoin no list the users who are using bitcoin. So we can't estimate the right thing, so we just do the calculation in accordance with what we see or analysis and that's not something the right guide

Not all exchange sites are scam and if you are wise then you will withdraw your funds from those sites on regular basis to avoid loss.

But there is a facebook group which particular my country bitcoin user-specific contents and they mostly use bitcoin for investment.

In my city, I think me and some of my friends know about that, but besides that I do not know that will there be someone in other cities who will have bitcoins! I think there will be more with bitcoin but it is still not obvious.
If you live in a country that is prosperous and peace. Then I'm sure that every town in the country you will surely be some groups or people who use or have the bitcoin for bitcoin digital currency one of the most profitable and most flexible

I don't think any calculator are here, than we can know about the percentage the bitcoin's users but only we can guess it. And i can guess in my country only 1% or 2% people know about the bitcoins and invest in it.

I would like to say that it is widely accepted in my country but it is not at the moment. Maybe when it's popularity has been established then it will be taken at our local shops and for many of the city centers services. Until that day then I am only able to use it online for my purchases and investing at this time.

For many people in my country, Bitcoin is still a strange word. However, things are slowly changing, and not only Bitcoin, but other cryptocurrencies are getting more popular here.

It is not even mentioned here where I live. It is a privilege just to have running water in my town. So bitcoin and the devices that are needed in order to use it is not a top priority to most people living here. That may change if some venture capitalist comes and offers the citizens devices and a means to exchange bitcoins for the local currency then we will see a drastic change in the living conditions and people's knowledge of this unknown currency.

I cannot say that our country can replace or will replace the US in terms of bitcoin usage. But I must say that we are growing in terms of bitcoin usage here in our country. I can attest that because buying of bitcoins is made thru banks, 711 stores, and cash remittances. They even acknowledge bitcoins as payment for utilities, credit card bills, and even tuition fees.

in my country it is not popular at all as adoption here is really slow, people seem to not need any alternatives to their money so they not even try using bitcoins
