Help me! Why is it they call gambling a game?

Allright, let's do a quick google!

Gambling definition:
1. play games of chance for money; bet.
2. take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

Investment definition:
1. the action or process of investing money for profit or material result

Game definition:
1. a form of play or sport, especially a competitive one played according to rules and decided by skill, strength, or luck.
2. a type of activity or business, especially when regarded as a game.

You can see from this that all 3 words can apply to each other. This means that when you're gambling you're always investing and in most cases you're also playing games (poker, dice, roulette, slots, sports, etc).

Answered, so gambling is a game but also an investment. It's called a game because we playing it just like we playing a game and it's entertaining. Just don't get too greedy and broke.

i think it still called a game because we play games with money involve and if we are win, then we safe the money, but if we are lose, then we lose our money. its not investment, in investment, we deposit our money and just wait with no acting with that money, we make other activities while our money grow with our investment.

We call it Game because we just play it and have fun. We call it gambling because we also have some fun but we should invest money to it . I guess they call it game because they dont care about moneyy its just a game a entertainment to them and we as a gambler i call it gambling because of risk! Also having some fun while playing and earning

Its a game  from the word itself gambling game but theres a money involved when you intend to play. Its really for entertainment but theres a possibility that you would win some but most of the time  is you usually lose out on your money.  In short you pay them just to entertain their players and  not as a  money machine.

Games can't be treated with only sole meaning because games are applied in general.

If you don't want the idea of gambling being called a game then it's up to you and just stick with your own meaning of money investment thing.

gambling is a game that plays with chances. it definitely is not an investments because the odds of you losing money is better than you gaining. it should be a source of entertainment that's why it's considered a game. just make sure that you don't get addicted to playing

Yeah, indeed gambling is not one media investment. gambling is a game that relies on luck. If you think gambling is the investment then that something was wrong. But if you say that lend money to home casino/gambling then it includes categories of investments

Gambling is not investment because there is no guarantee of return, gambling is full of risks and that the reason people call it a game, there are so many ups and down happen during this journey, people enjoy their and feel excitement and that is why they call it game, investment has totally different even it also has some risk and it is very similar to gamble.

For me, gambling is like a game but it's need your money to play that game. If you can predict that game, you will get money but if you can't predict the game, you will lose your money.

It's because gambling has different types from card games like poker to slots but there's money on the line. If you look at gambling that way others don't because they take the risk of winning big or losing everything. Investment and Gambling share the same thing called risk so others use this term instead of gambling.

Yes and most of us are gambling on casino's where they offer us games like roullete, slots and others hence most of the people have started to call gambling as gaming or playing games. But I think the dice betting is different and gamblers betting there can't be said they are playing games, since they are simply gambling not gaming.

in gambling they had spending their money by playing the particular games such as poker or dice that's why gambling also called game for some people but i don't think considers gambling as money investment because in gambling lucky are necessary but for investment lucky doesn't necessary to do so

Gambling if you take as a game then if you lose you should not be sad, but if you take gambling as for profit then you have to work a lot for it to get profit. I will suggest to go for sports betting which is much better to be in profit , let the profit be low but in long run you will see you are in big profit calculation.

There u=is no confusion in this. It all depends on people how they take gambling. If anyone plays gambling just for fun, then they think it is just game. But those who play gambling to make money they will believe that it is investment to make a profit that's it.

Gambling is consider a game cause there is no point to gamble for money. In gambling, you are expected to lose the more you gamble. So it is not very feasible to aim for profit from gambling. Just treat gambling as a form of entertainment, a form of game.

Well if you view it as all about money then you won't see it the same way that other people who play these games for entertainment purposes.

Gambling is not just about luck or money but it's considered as an entertainment as by gambling, we aren't changing anything at the end but just making or losing money. Nobody requires any sort of knowledge while predicting the results whether in casinos or not but it's mere experience and luck that helps us to earn money.
