I don't mean leave a derogatory mark, but he may be stupid to say that we can predict gambling bets.
Sure, he's right that with the correct formulas we can do that but the problem lies in that we don't know the "correct formula" to do that or simply the human mind is most likely incapable of knowing that.
Sure, OP must be right that with the correct formulas we can do that but the problem lies in that we don't know the "correct formula" to do that or simply the human mind is most likely incapable of knowing that.

But I’m sure there are some people that have the mental capacity to do something like that, but that again is some very rare “Rainman” type stuff we’re talking about. However guess some of the patterns could make an impact significantly more possible.

to me bitcoin is one of the most strongest currency of all the currencies.
well. bitcoin is no doubt a very strong currency in every form.. it is the strongest currency among the web, and the security of bitcoin is also very strong. as op said his friend think someone can hack the bitcoin with just a calculator. I don't think it is possible to hack bitcoin just like that.
some professional and high skilled  hackers hack bitcoin related sites (which happened already many times) but hacking bitcoin it self is not possible.

The strength of bitcoin comes from its infrastructure.
Bitcoin has become a payment method in many online shops, like paypal or credit card.
That shows the economy has gained a certain trust in bitcoin.
There are exchange services and whole businesses developed around bitcoin.
Recently bitfinex was hacked, but it just scratched the price of bitcoin a little bit.
I say that bitcoin became strong in price and reliable as a payment method.
Strongly agree, bitcoin has strong foundation and keep growing every year. Good as online currency that has been used worldwide, and will continue expand in every country.

I think that bitcoin is very strong
not easy to hacked, bitcoin and exchanges is different
maybe an exchanges is not safe to store your bitcoin
Store your bitcoin in paper wallet. its good for you.
Yeah honestly bitcoin is very strong if bitcoin is not strong bitcoin is already dead as of now . but bitcoin still alive and many companies are accepting bitcoin as payment. and they are increasing so bitcoin will be more popular in the future.

your right, I think so
bitcoin will be the payment in the world and bitcoin is a big payment in the future

Bitcoin has also been helping people who would otherwise be starving in third world countries too. Those people get paid very little but it is usually enough to feed them. As long as you have access to the internet you have access to your money, this has become possible only due to bitcoin. This shows how strong impact bitcoin has brought to human race.

now its not too strong but it is going to grow a lot in the near future
Think it is very strong. Sure not many people use it, but it is growing and becoming more popular. I believe eventually bitcoin will be accepted everywhere and everyone will use it on a day to day basis. The price of bitcoin is the only indicator right now we are having to show how strong bitcoin is.

to me bitcoin is is the strongest as compare to any other crypto currency. the reason is that bitcoin is the most popular crypto currency of the world. bitcoin is the most popular currency and still its popularity is increasing day by day. therefor i think bitcoin is so strong. hope a time will come when it will also cover all the fiat currencies of the world.
The increasing adoption of bitcoin will ensure the strength of bitcoin until any magic happens in this world. Magic in the sense, any unexpected events that might lead to any new improvement or any collapse. But practically nothing will impact bitcoin system as world economy is not to get impacted by a single event. So, bitcoin will stay stronger always.

I'm always amazed every time I read what it would take to crack a single private key. Most people don't realize just how near impossible it is to do.

Bitcoin is probably the only currency/asset in the world right now that isn't based on the trust of the people using it in a specific entity, and rather the trust in a group of people that any regular person can jump in and help any time with. As long as the network keeps going (which just requires the internet), there is no real reason why Bitcoin wouldn't be able to be bought or exchanged with.

We know that bitcoin is strong and all the wallets have milletry grade security but one of my stupid friend today said that maybe someone can hack it with just a calculater because with math and correct formulas we can even predict gambling bets if that is possible then maybe there is any chance of this

Your friend is quite some dreamer if he can thinks that he can predict gambling bets. Of course he maybe right if he wants to hack the MD5 Hash of a single spin but casinos are bit forward of him. They only leave a seed of MD5 to verify for only a few minutes so no chances to hack such things. Bitcoin so far in its 7 years of life is not breached in security. All the cases of hacks and steals is because of user fault. So bitcoin is as strong as it can be.
hey mate sorry to intrupt but are you sure that bitcoin casinos are unhackable because on past years some casino really got hacked even primedice casino also been hacked and i am not saying that op is 100% corrent but he/she but he/she is just asking the dought

Bitcoin casinos websites or accounts hackable but no one can predict or hack a upcoming bet in any casino because it is totally automated and no one knows what will be the outcome of next bet so that is simply not possible.

Right now there is about a 9 billion dollar reward for successfully hacking Bitcoin. The fact that Bitcoin has had millions or even billions in value safely held for several years should show how secure it is. I'm sure people try to hack Bitcoin all the time, but nobody succeeds. Actually there were some people that did hack Bitcoin early on in its history, but that wasn't because the method Bitcoin uses to keep coins secure is hackable, it was just bugs in the code which were fixed.

yeah for now bitcoin is not so strong. bitcoin prices are very easily manipulated. maybe in a few years where the user is large enough bitcoin will be very strong
Bitcoin prices really aren’t manipulated that easily. It just since everyone is not sure where they want to invest. This causes the price to be very volatile. All newly trading commodities will have this type of fluctuations usually.

It does not mean that the price are being manipulated. Moreover there are lot of people who loves this price fluctuations for their work of bitcoin trading. Secondly, bitcoin is very vast and omnipresence in every country, so manipulating is not that much easily possible.

Actually bitcoin is quite strong and it such a bulletproof from hacking, as we know that there are many cases about hacking bitcoin lately, basically, it was due to the fault of the user in storing their bitcoin and keep them safe, for example accidentally installed some dangerous programs like keylogger or phising programs or something else on their computer.

Yeah we can't hack the private key and if you need to hack one private key. You need 100 super computers work nearly 5 years then only it's possible.  So private key sweeping is not simple thing.

Yes unlike in the early phase of bitcoin where manipulation is easy.

Today, those manipulators will start to do some trend in one of the exchanges. The succesful rate depends on the people who will take the bait. If such few people caught in the bait, then that is unsuccesful attempt to do some panic and they will just repeat until it became a success one.
