If anyone of you is into E-Sports how can there be not a Starcraft/Broodwar betting thread.  This was one of my early favorite RTS games as a kid and it's still going strong as a platform for E-Gaming Tournaments in South Korea.  It's cool that Nitrogensports and Betcoin offer odds for these games in their site.  If you wanna gamble on it but lack the info, look no further.  I will try my best to keep everyone here updated.

Match Day 2 of the Afreeca Starleague is upon us.  Today's match is between Hero (ML odds - 1.392) and Best (ML odds - 2.884).  I have no deep knowledge of these players, but it seems Hero is the favorite.  And he plays Zerg, so yeah, he should have an easy time playing against a Protoss player in Best.

Update:  Best won 3 - 1.  Another underdog won easily.  There seems to be a serious inefficiency in the SC/BW betting market.

This Sunday's match is between Flash and GuemChi (aka IamMang).  Flash is one of the best, if not, the best Starcraft/Broodwar player in the world.  This match would be a walk in the park for him.  But then again, we have seen that the past two matches have shown how inefficient the SC/BW market is.  That means there's money to be made.

Flash vs GuemChi will start in about 10 minutes guys!  It will be such a delight watching Flash play as he's one of the best in the history of the game.  Some people seem to like betting on GueChi though due to SC/BW betting market's inefficiency.  Enjoy!

Today's match will be between Jaedong and Stork. Jaedong is known to be the best Zerg player in the world during his younger years.  But here's the interesting part, Jaedong played Starcraft 2 professionally for a while and has just recently returned to SC/BW.  His game is kinda rusty especially vs Protoss players so this will be an easy bet on his opponent, Stork! Stork's best match up happens to be his Protoss vs Zerg players.  My close friend is so sure that the SC/BW betting market is so inefficient that he's trying to make bank by looking for sports books willing to accept his action.

Edit:  Jaedong won.  Lost my bet.  I expected more from Stork.  Oh well, at least we see Jaedong advance and see a possible battle with Flash!

Round of 4 (aka the semi-finals) is starting tomorrow.  First match will be Best (Protoss) against Sea (Terran), the second match will be Flash (Terran) vs Jaedong (Zerg) which will actually play like it was the finals since Flash and Jaedong are considered to be the top player at each of the race their playing.

These are the odds as of today as offered by Nitrogensports:

Best, Money Line - 2.156
Sea, Money Line - 1.662

Flash, Money Line - 1.345
Jaedong, Money Line - 3.12

I personally haven't made any bets yet as I have made some wrong decisions.  So I will take my time before making a bet.  And the lines move a lot so it ain't a bad idea to try and get some value.

Sea went through to the finals.  It was a really good match since it was decided with all 5 games being played.  Hopefully Flash vs Jaedong will be as exciting on Tuesday.  I'm rooting for Jaedong because I hate a Terran vs Terran finals.

If you're a big Esports fan and you know the game of SC/BW, then I highly recommend you watch the match.

So finals is between Flash vs Sea.  It might be kinda boring as both play Terran.  Should be a sweep be Flash or something near it.

Hey guys, I just updated the thread and have posted all the necessary info.  Flash vs Sea should be an easy game for the former as I mentioned before.  3 - 0 or 3 - 1 could be the result for a Flash win.

This was expected but the match was still entertaining overall.  But if you're a truly addicted SC/BW fan, any game to watch as long as the elite players play is entertaining enough.

Ehst exactly am I saying when I cast a vote/bet and is there only two options or more ? Betting is very confusing to me and they dont even have a guide on nitrogen which is where I first looked at esports betting.

Anyone with half a brain can figure it out granting that he or she is using 100% of it.  There's really no excuse to have no clue these days because there's Google and it's easy to look for information in just about anything you want to know about.  If everything else fails, why not start a thread in the forum and ask for help.
