For a general overview of Supernet you can read my short intro here. I know that Komodo is the coin that provides privacy (zcash) and security (with Btc hashrate) but it's also the underlying coin for the PAX system and for Poker/Betting. Probably other minor functions too. IMHO this is another point of interest for Komodo investors: until now the experiments of pegged cryptos (bitusd, nubits, tether...) have enjoyed a limited success despite the demand for such solutions, so if pax succeeds to bring fiat and stock to crypto this could have a substantial effect on the demand for Komodo... |

The only thing i am unsure of on this coin/platform..
Does it summarize into a super anonymity (Zcash) super secure (dPOW BTC) - BTCD.20 coin...
Or is it a platform?
Or is Supernet the platform and now Komodo the coin?
I sort of understand the many many under the hood diverse tech and is this the merging of them?
SO is Komodo a coin? Like BTC or a platform like Nxt?
If it is a coin then is its purpose the above summary or is there more to it?
If it is a platform what is its functions?
Is it taking on the Supernet functions and Supernet then is just an investment vehicle?
Would love to see a new info graphic for this!
Also is the a method to hold BTCD for up to a year inside the Nxt asset exchange?
I would like to place buy orders on the underside to get any drops but keep away from central exchanges..
It is a platform with a native coin. People will be able to spawn up a new chain/coin with a curl call. It will have privacy tech based on zcash, iguana and dPoW. I would suggest you not hold the BTCD in the NXT AE as there will be a snapshot about 2 weeks after ICO to give out revenue share assets. If you have it on there, it will be really hard to sort out. Keep it in a BTCD wallet so you can stake too. If btcd snapshot for rev asset happens 2 weeks after ico, is there any value holding btcd after then? I read people will continue staking for a year, why? It comes down to how does every coin get value? People can choose not to swap as it is their right. They can stake for a year and at the end of that year they will continue on as BTCD. If they choose to swap at the end of the year they will get 5% to offset the 5% they gained by swapping late. |

ok all cool..
So the long term hold on BTCD is only for the luck it drops in price so to get to get komodo.
The assets attached to BTCD get a snapshot from the BTCD wallet shortly after ICO conclusion.
I will then not try to get btcd from any asset etc.
If i place buy orders on BTCD low then it is just for luck i get cheap Komodo over the next year.
I will thus enter only with simple BTC transfer.
Do i need to control the BTC address or is the Komod website linked with email in control of allocation?
Also i get that the potential uses of BTCD like poker and services now get moved to Komodo as BTCD 2.0
Is it correct there is no child chain, Daps smart contract etc. no one else runs on the chain.
But they can link up their own coin to get the use of the fact komodo is paying for the Dpow BTC access.
Example - Ardor may wish to offer excess security or a child chain of Ardor may wish to..
So they will curl in and pay a fee and get that security function.
So komodo has a sale able service.

I am not too clear on the Supernet..Iguana
Komodo, Supernet, Iguana... are we just sticking to an age long trinity.. or is there a describable difference comparison and reason?

Iguana offer
Or are we in a Quantum realm of they all do the same thing and a different thing at the same time?
I am drinking beer smoking weed waiting for the ICO so i am just sorting my mind out.
Love this ICO and I for 1 trust and have an understanding in JL77 this is a fortunate moment of a merging of his ideas and tech.

You dont need to control the BTC address it is sent from, but you do need to secure the ICO login. Komodo the platform can be used to create multiple chains. These chains are alt coins in their own right. Currently im not too sure about smart contracts, so for now everything is built on top of the chains themselves. Yes dPoW could be used as a service to secure other coins. Edit- Just noticed im Legendary now  |

Supernet is the name of whole project, with all its features and components Iguana is the software/multiwallet where everything is coded into, and that you actually use Komodo is a coin that is part of the project |

No need to exchange yet, you have a year to do so. So do I need to withdraw my BTCD from polo in order to turn them into KMD? Or can I leave them there for now?
A lot of people have asked this, so let's clarify it one more time: - for the KMD swap there is no need to have it in a local wallet, as you have one full year to do the swap - to get the revenue asset it must be in a local wallet. The BTCD snapshot will be taken before the swapping begins. so in other words, you can keep your BTCDs in an exchange (but lose the free asset), or then you can send them to a local wallet by the end of the ICO and get rewarded with the additional REV asset. Edit- Just noticed im Legendary now Wow! Congratulations! |
