I see BTCD has been, or is in the process of being delisted at Bter.com

They sure don't waste any time do they? If you have any there, looks like you have 90 days to collect them.

"The following coins will be delisted

DVC, RED, ZET, WDC, PRT, BQC, BTCD, C2, CKC, MAX, FTP,
DGC, DTC, GEMZ, MEC, MINT, MSC, NBT, NODE, NSR, BAY,
NXTTY, QRK, SRC, TBC, UNITY, VRC, VTC, XC, YAC, BLK

We will provide 3 months withdrawal service for all of them.

They delist coins based on trading volume.  If they aren't generating fees and commissions for them, then why would they keep them listed.

BTCD is mainly traded on Poloniex and the volume there has been up 500% or more lately and is in a healthy range.  And when KMD is trading, people will be using arbitrage between the two and will be even more volume, in theory.  So unlikely they will delist it.

Yea, I understand that but, with BTER's track record, I would be cautious...

BTCD price is rising quickly, on strong volume, now that the BTCD to KMD swap has officially begun..

Remember that .006512 is equivalent to the ICO price, so still plenty more room to run up to near that level.

Current BTCD Price (Poloniex):  .00433 BTCD/BTC

Current BTC/BTCD rate:
230.95 : 1 (amount of BTCD that you get for 1 BTC)

KMD/BTCD swap rate
: 50.42041779: 1 (amount of KMD you will get for 1 BTCD that you swap on ICO site)

KMD/BTC current rate: 11644.438 (amount of KMD you get for 1 BTC worth of BTCD at current price on Poloniex)

KMD/BTC ICO rate: 7746.522 : 1 (amount of KMD you got for 1 BTC at the end of ICO with no bonus)

Current extra KMD via BTCD: +3897.916KMD or +50.32% extra (relative to ICO KMD/BTC rate at the end of ICO with no bonus)

So at current prices, you get much more KMD that you would have gotten at the end of the ICO.

The price could rise sharply from here to .006512 BTCD/BTC and you would still get the same amount of KMD. per BTC spent, as during the final phase of the ICO.

The swap has begun for KMD, so once you buy the BTCD, move them to the Komodo IC:   https://ico.komodoplatform.com/ or keep them in your own personal wallet:  http://bitcoindark.com/

Request that KMD be added to Poloniex here:   https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

And again, the developers should really keep to the schedule that they've posted here many times over the past months:

Schedule

- ICO site accepts BTCD
 - 7 days after that BTCD snapshot happens & the swapping begins
 - Elections begin, and last 2 weeks
 - Elections are over, elected notary nodes will get ratified, KMD will be distributed

Most importantly, we should get at least 1 week notice before the snapshot.  Many people can only move a limited amount of crypto out of Poloniex per day, depending on verification levels, so please give us a week, as promised before the snapshot so we can get it done.

If you want to allow swapping earlier or distribute KMD early, I suppose wouldn't be downsides, but the advance notice for the snapshot is important.  Thank you.

I thought the REVS snapshot would happen before the swap? If I send my BTCD off and then the snapshop happens, don't I get no revs? Or are you saying you only get REVS if you have sent your BTCD to the ICO site?

It is happening at the same time basically. You can either send the btcd to the swap site or wait for the snapshot to happen. Then all you need is the private key to that address to claim the revs later.

Since Komodo is going to have anonymous transactions and DEX would it be correct to say it's partly similar to SDC and also sharing niche with XMR and DASH?

Im really glad to see this KMD thing finally get off the ground. I have just deposited all my BTCD's from my local wallet to the ICO site. Went very smoothly and confirmed in just a few minutes. I'm getting a pretty juicy stack of KMD's according to the ICO page  Smiley

When I was moving the coins I noticed I have been holding on to those BTCD's for nearly 3 years now. Always kept them staking on a VPS, didn't touch for all this time. in the block explorer i saw more then 16373 transactions which are all stakes, and that's just 1 address. You can say I'm a long term holder  Cheesy

I wish James and the rest of the team the best of luck!

PS. Mainnet goes live 31th, and so will trading on the exchanges I supose? Any word from Poloniex yet? Will they participate in the swap?

Feel free to check your contribution in terms of blocks found on BTCD blockchain (POS) on getstaker.net  Smiley

For those who want to control their btcd privkey during the snapshot (and swap after, and maybe miss elections)
Link for qt-wallets https://mega.nz/#F!3Y0FTKZa!tH55A41QtGJZjcK7x1GytA
Link for win and linux blockchain databases (updated to January 7) https://mega.nz/#F!5B0QkQRa!Byvyjtf8IvAeS5R5tt_vjA

But if you want to
1) Swap your btcd to kmd without installing a wallet
2) Be sure to be part of the snapshot and get your revs
3) Be able to vote
The best way is to send your btcd to the ico site https://ico.komodoplatform.com/ before January 15th

Yes, just send BTCD to the ICO site and you will get both. The shown KDM balance is just an internal credit until we distribute the KMD.

Since Komodo is going to have anonymous transactions and DEX would it be correct to say it's partly similar to SDC and also sharing niche with XMR and DASH?

Well, the only similarity is that all of the projects seek to have some short of anonymity feature. However the tech is completely different as we use Zcash privacy tech.

The privacy side is just one thing, we have a lot more, such as:
 - dPoW
 - assetchains (and pegged fiat assets)
 - Decentralized exchange based on atomic swaps

@KomodoPlatform

How to swap the mgwBTCD at Nxt asset platform? Thanks.

1. download SuperNET lite client http://www.supernet.org/download.php (SuperNET Lite 3.0)
2. use it to send your superBTCD to the ICO site (with the client you can send BTCD to a NXT address or a regular BTCD address)

btw, mgwBTCD is old, nowadays it is called SuperBTCD. If you still have mgwBTCD I think it can be swapped somehow. If you have let me know and I'll find out.

btw2, this is the working technology build on top of Nxt that SuperNET finished. (just a side note Wink )
