A lot of people sold their kmd to buy btcd and do the swap.
Why would anyone do that? It doesn't make any sense, or am I missing something? To take advantage of the price difference What price difference are you referring to? The prices of btcd and kmd have generally always matched the conversion ratio, apart from some punctual btcd unexplained rises that probably noone with no insider info could have expected ... So, if one sells kmd and then buys btcd to swap it later for kmd they actually could get less kmd if they don't stake the btcd (because the ratio goes down with time to adjust with the staking). The exchange rate for the swap is about 47.something. So referring to the recent prices, one could have made a nice profit if willing to take some risk and willing to wait a few days. |

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Well, it depends. I have personally did that quite a few times. Why not?
If I see BTCD 10% or lower then KMDx48 I would go and transform KMD into BTCD, knowing I have just made around 10% on KMD for sure (yes, minus staking, but I would not wait a year...).

i'm having some issue using barterdex 0.8.3rc if anyone can help, every time a try to make a sell i have this error message & i don't know why... my deposite is correct on barterdex wallet what i'm a doing wrong ?

Hi there,
I really like the idea of this project, and I consider to buy some Komodo. But I have a question about the coin. If anybody could answer me, that would be great!
Is there any source that explains how exactly the coin will be tied to the Komodo platform? The opening post states "KMD coins are the fuel of our platform...and Komodo services may require KOMODO." This sounds a bit vague, are there any more details about this available?

You couldn't say it scam. Just a bug or something. Anyone notice that the total atomic swap was resseted on komodoplatform website? the explorer servers were reset, so the data wasnt available (0) this meltdown and spectre CPU bugs will be causing problems for quite a while |

WHEW! I just sent 40 KMD on over from Bittrex to Binance! Why is that newsworthy you ask? It cost me 2.2 cents... and arrived in under 5 minutes. ( 4 confirmations ) With all the network congestion and high fee's being experienced by Bitcoin network and even now Ethereum network too people will be looking for alternatives that are worth holding. KMD has def moved up my list! ( also got my eye on ETC  ) Thanks Komodo team for everything you do! |

What is the situation for BTCD holders? How is this not abandonment?
I was wondering the same thing, is this essentially replacing it? Plus, out of interest how many ICOs has jl777 launched over the years? how is that abandonment when you have a SWAP to an improved version of the coin  |

For this to work, it needs to get some information from sender or receiver to confirm the contract is executed as specified, but its need to stay private. How does the "Komodo-contract" knows it gets the (correct) information from the real contract holders?
