Where are you from my friend? Worried similar to my country some of these media campaigns are scams taking people hard earned money like asking for registration fee to join or have bitcoin  which they dont even show you or even a case of being guaranteed some amount of return after a certain period all these are scam alerts. There's kobocoin, prosperipro both not very good projects.. Then there is humaniq(not originally from Africa but Africa is their focus. Humaniq is probably the only project worth looking at.

I just saw one project that also has an eye for African - Asia market. Especially in the commodity (ie palm oil, cotton, rice, cocoa... ) trading field.
At the moment the project is still in 1st stage of token release, so you can get it at very low price Eur 0.01/token.

Bitcoin is widely accepted in Africa because of high ROI. In fact, in South Africa, people are swapping their cars and other high value items in exchange for Bitcoin as per Gumtree, an online classifieds sites.

I think many Africans are involved in Bitcoin.it is true Bitcoin uptake in Africa is very slowly.some countries in Africa are hosting conferences creating awareness among Africans.I seen on internet the annual Blockchain and Bitcoin Africa conference is to be held in Johannesburg South Africa on 1st to 3rd march 2017.during conference experts from around the world will share their views on as wall as their experience of the opportunities and challenges facing digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Block Chain.

The introduction of the blockchain system and bitcoin in different spheres of African life will finally overcome that barrier to civilized life that has long stood before the inhabitants of the continent. Here are the countries in Africa and their ranking for bitcoin searches
1. South Africa - Yes we hold rank 1

10. Nigeria

It is getting quite huge in these 3 countries, growing really fast. Speaking for South Africa, I can go to any 15-35 year old that I know and ask them about bitcoin and they will either be invested in it or at least know of it.  Remember cryptocurrency will penetrate fastest in places where people do not have the best and most honest government.

I think we should start more meetups, growing our community in Africa will help this become more adopted and grow faster.  I actually just saw this sub-topic or whatever you can call it. We should figure out how to

some folks outside of Africa might think the crypto world is new and novel entirely to Africans. But this is far from the truth.
