Two Questions:

    1. With reference to this table of statistics for altcoins:

    http://dustcoin.com/mining

Today it states the Marekt Cap. BTC for Namecoin is '48059'.

    How is this figure derived?

    2. Is there a resource that lists all the altcoins in existence as cryptocoinexplorer.com does not seem to list them all.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

to 1:

There are 109520 Blocks of NMC mined
Each Block gives 50 NMC ... so there are : 5476000 NMC
Each NMC is worth .00869325 BTC
So all NMC are worth .00869325 * 547600 = 47604,237 BTC = Market Cap.

hasn't taken into account the destroyed coins when a .bit domain is registered, but these are minor number differences

I think the question was more aimed on how the value of market cap. is derived in general. NMC is a bit special, because the main use is not as a currency Wink

Yes: that was my other question of my two I'm really not clear on where that figure of 'Market Cap BTC' comes from.

Thanks for the other answers guys!
