I'm currently testing various possibilities to reduce that system load of our wallet.

The amount of POS blocks with tiny amount fills up the majority of the block chain.
The latest iteration of and "accelerated" testnet is working at this moment. 500 POW blocks, POS starts at block 450, nStakeMinAge of 1 day instead of a few hours. nModifierInterval every 2 hours instead of every 12 hours and by block 700, it will switch to 60 seconds block time.

Observation and discussion learned that these 30 seconds we had are not a law that blocks abide by, but merely a guideline. The blocks are produced much faster than 30 seconds, depending on the amount of clients staking and how many coins are stake-ready. Therefore, I look for a way to influence this.

It's just an experiment I'm going to gauge its effect. There is also the issue of unconfirmed POS transactions (rejected by network) that poses a problem. It inflates the wallet.dat with garbage that should be purged. This is also something to look into in the future.

With Cryptsy going down and Coinse not generating deposit addresses (at least for me), it means we have no trading platform anymore.
Who's willing to open a market for Mineralscoin? Smiley

We're not dead yet, it just takes lots of time with two when you've full time jobs and families etc.

Thank you Smiley

As for further development, it's on hold for now. I have to study for certification exams and my boss gave me a couple of weeks instead of the 4 months that are usually given... Considering how expensive it is, I don't have time to concentrate on something else right now.

@vlizzjeffrey; Hi there! It's been such a long time since. I stopped going to our #scrypt channel as it was kinda dead and people left little by little anyway.
How are you doing?

Thank you! That's great news \(^_^\)
When I'm done with today's tasks, I'll update the blog.

Starting next Tuesday I can resume working on the (testnet) wallet trying to reduce a bit of the system load created by all the blocks we generate.

Still postponing further work on the wallet Cry

I've been entrusted by a business laptop from a friend who got infected by CTB Locker. Over 9000 documents have been encrypted and the ransom wasn't paid in time. I'll be busy for a while recovering stuff using data recovery & forensic software on the disk images.

Hello everyone.

I have decided to stop maintaining Mineralscoin infrastructure and will no longer work on the wallet or any related service.
There is simply no time for me to spend on the coin and I am facing enormous problems that make this coin basically a dead coin.

And dead it is, since a corrupt transaction has brough the blockchain on its knees.
In its current state MIN cannot be a dynamic and lightning fast coin it was supposed to be. Its code base, Novacoin, is hopelessly outdated to the point it's too hard and required to much resources to fix it.

Some more information can be found here: http://www.morningminerals.com/?p=945

That being said, don't trash your wallets. It may be useful should an exchange program be created together with a successor.

I aplogize for not being able to meet your expectations.
Please get in touch with Stronci if you'd like to help or start anew.

Goodbye~

I permanently shut down the server this evening.

Mineralscoin no longer has the following assets:

- super node
- checkpoint node
- dns seed server
- block explorer (cce.morningminerals.com)
- website (www.morningminerals.com)
- github
- twitter

Domain disappear in June 2017.
