There is no way for the candidate to know what is top secret... The idea is that the potus (a two term only) would ask questions to both, incite fighting and smart argumentation. In short play the role of the referee. It would be a more interesting debate (first hand experience from the referee) in my opinion than what cnn prepares. There the journalists will have selected his questions to make trump looks bad (melania visa, and speech, tax return, etc etc) while ignoring or orienting specially the question for Hillary (you weren't in charge during the night of bengazi, who was the person who lied to you about the fake provost video, someone manipulated you in using this email server, how could you know, it's so sad to see the good work of the fundation being unrecognized, what should you do to improve its image, do you think it's unfair to insinuate you have bad health, look how strong you are tonight etc etc etc...
