I got my BB overnight while I slept. So there really was no problem. Thanks for trying to help though.  Smiley

Anybody care to explain a bit how exactly ackbytes are diffrent from other cryptos? Is there something specific that we need to do about them (if we just want to hold?)

I've got a dedicated server in a data center for Byteball node. Can this issue create problems in the future (like slowing processing of payments down):

I notice them on there too. But how long does it take to fully sync the wallet from just downloading the new update of v1.9.1?
I chose the full install from the two options. It did say it would take hours to sync in the warning message before choosing this way or the light wallet from the menu,
It has been running since the last full moon which was 3 days ago on July 9 and it has not stopped syncing yet.
Any help on this and thanks if anybody could offer a reasonable answer to the attempt to download the byteball blockchain.

If you look at the Byteball rich list, this is still not even close to the top. The top gets 10 times more per airdrop.

If they want to accumulate, why are they selling and not buying Huh

When things looked good a whale put a 109 BTC wall of china to make me be at loss again, great

The big sell wall is trying to scare the weak hands to sell so that they can accumulate.
Once they have accumulated enough they will remove the wall.

You might well be right and that is something I have seen happen quite a few times.
It does also sometimes happen that a whale wants to sell, so they put up a wall.

$250k worth is pretty crazy!  I remember similar stuff happening with Clams, but eventually the seller sold off the exchange and the price went back up afterwards.

Could also be someone who harvested all the btc addresses they could find from the last giveaway and is now cashing in all those Gbytes.

My wallet is not synced yet so I have been waiting for nearly 4 days now to get it all synced up before I put any in there. Smiley

Good timing for this sell off for me to stock up! Grin

Wouldn't you say? Wink

Wall is there to scare others.
To limit those who want to sell for good price. People will sell for what ever price will be. Thats how accumulation works.

Big walls like that are meant to scare others. Psychological thing.

Funny thing that the wall never gets close of being touched. People keep buying and new sell orders appear to replace the filled ones.

It's only to be expected, it's almost like collecting monthly interest payments on your BTC.  I'm sure there are plenty of airdrop recipients with no plans to hold Byteball long term.  The airdrop arrives and they turn around and sell...

Exactly because people just get it because it's free and they dump those free coins to get money.

If it weren't for them, Byteball buyers would have a tough time buying cheap GBs. In any case, this will stop in a few months time as the airdrop ends. Looking at the pace of Bitcoin linking, I wouldn't be surprised if the airdrop lasts only for a couple of more months.
