Wouldn't it be an idea to have an option in the wallet that upon a payment out, the 'change address' is the original Byteball address that is used for linking in the airdrops? That would avoid people missing airdrops without their knowledge and would make it easier for people to use Byteball more for small transactions, without running into trouble with future airdrops.

Coins like DeepOnion offer this functionality in the wallet software.

I assume that after the airdrop is finished the biggest holder of bayteballs LiskHQ will have its own airdrop! LiskHQ will probably distribute his byteballs to anyone who links lisk address or something similar....weeeeee

judging by the last round, the airdrop will continue for at least 6-7 more rounds, so the price will continue to drop until at least early next year.

It's really sad to see price below 0.06 BTC 3 months before it was over 0.3 BTC. That is the hardest part to handle free money people just like to dump when they get free coins.

Airdrops to Byteball addresses happens if there is a 1 byte balance on that address right? It need not be the address linked to Bitcoin address is what I understood. Blackbytes airdrop case is different I guess..

That would be realy fair from them. I hope that they redistribute their coins to the LSK holders.

I have often looked these days for the rich list and none of them have sold their positions
I think the sale is more of small positions a little desperate or perhaps disappointed their hopes of a quick profit
The price of the byte is coming to somewhat irrational valuations, it is not time to sell unless this is necessary to eat or pay the rent of your house
Jumping from one investment to another is a difficult game, however, being patient is relatively easy and accustoms to give good results

well yeah...
but you cant deny that at this point in time they (the dumpers) did the right thing, yes?
That's not to say in the long run they didn't do the right thing.
And I hope this will be the case because I myself didnt dump.

Dude, you gotta be kidding me.

Simply coming to a forum and begging earns you nothing.
You were answered, but you simply ignored the response.

You posted an address.. NHH2G675VLQEPVEUK7S5KXSNTZ4HYWOX

That address is not only NOT linked, but also contained no byteball at the time of the distribution, so you got no Bonus.

Stop begging and read the first post to learn how to get byteballs.

Simply creating an address doesn't mean you get free money.  If that were the case, I would create billions of addresses.

LOL! The level of entitlement is real on these forums. It is like why do you expect to get paid while doing 0 work? I seriously do not understand beggars and their mentality.

Kudos to you shutting this down because if you did not I would. Now byteball talk  Smiley . It is unfortunate to see the price so low but with the hardworking team behind the scenes

and the updates currently rolling out we should optimistic. I surely do. And I think this tide will turn quite soon, once byteball gets more traction

At least the whales are dumping now, which helps a great deal with the distribution. I hope they keep dumping, so that I can buy more cheap GBYTEs.

Reason of this failure was that airdrop allowed exchanges and big BTC holders like ICONOMI or ICO projects to participate. Exchanges were not allowed, but actually they created non-exchange-looking BTC addresses for this purpose.

I guess dumping will go on for quite some time till those big byte holders complete selling.

Perhaps Tony could have laid some freeze mechanism (airdropped bytes (or big part of it) are frozen for at least 1 year). That might have created enough time for technical and business development.

Chasing commercial partners like in 10% payback program at this stage looks a bit late to me.

But other than that, Byteball do not seem to have any big problem. Recently joined programmers may bring some surprise  Roll Eyes

whales are clearly in dump mode, that's why the price is so low. The concern is whether it is recoverable from this point on.

The distribution model should change now. It should no longer distribute to BTC holders, it should only distribute to byteball holders.

You have valid points, except in relation to the exchanges. Tony used some very good mechanisms to prevent this from happening.

One of them was to reject addresses with high frequency of transactions. The bot automatically reject addresses with more than 50 transactions in the last 3 days prior to the linking (except by signature, in which case chances are high that you are the real owner of that address).

Just let them dump and enjoy your cheep byteball coins...
Airdrop is still going on and the project is very young. I think it is fair the hold this coin for several additional month. I think this coin/technologie has a great future!

You're wrong there: exchanges were allowed to join the airdrop. What wasn't allowed, is an exchange user claiming airdrop from an address owned by the exchange.

It does feel bad though to see the dumpers profit more than the holders, but that can still change in the future. Byteball is working on real life applications. That's a risk, but if it works, it will pay off.
