I think you still can if you're holding btc in a certain address before the launch on October or November.

What is the likely date for the BTC to be in our wallets and the airdrop generally. I highly recommend it's pushed back to around Christmas....even make it a New Years end date. Why? Because there isn't enough people who know about this project so it risks an uneven distribution and less interest of only a small number of people have heard of it.

The developer should do a poll to see the kind of numbers of people who are aware of this airdrop....I bet you it's less than 1000.

10^15 Byteballs to be created from the start...
Well, your coin will be a pain in the ass to trade if they are paired with btc, instant 1 satoshi value.
And even with 1 satoshie value = instant 10 000 000$ market cap right from the start.
You sir definitly have balls... but not so unrealistic...

Anyway the only thing that really bothers me is the percentage you want for yourself.

You sir really deserve a certain amount of  the coins but rapid math and we get this :

1% of 1 000 000 000 000 000 = 10 000 000 000 000.

This number might afraid any real investor insterested in your project...
If the project get success you could anytime dump all your stash and move away, how do you plan to adress this concern?

Plus you definitly want to postpone the aidrop, early november is way to soon.

The ANN is only 12 days old and you have already found the way to this thread! Wink There is more than a month, maybe two, left for everybody and his dog to learn about Byteball! This thread is not the only marketing effort, there are several tweets already, also threads in other crypto forums, and I know about some bloggers, who will release something in the next days.

So nothing to worry about, Byteball will be well-known when the initial distribution happens.

Sounds a bit like Cryptkeeper wants to keep all the crypto for himself.

The strength as the developer has said is in the widely held distribution. At this point it's I bet known about by a few hundred people at best, alts is a very small world compared to Bitcoin and also there are so many projects these days even a dedicated alt coin investor can easily miss this free offer. If the distribution ends up in less than 1000 wallets this coin is DOA. What's a few more weeks in the grand scheme of things?

So will there be a time/window, to claim and that is it?

Is it going to be a 1:x ratio, and what's going to happen to the coins unclaimed?

There will be a time/window, it'll be announced later, watch this thread.

Unclaimed coins are impossible by design: all 98% to be claimed will be distributed in proportion to the balance of linked bitcoin addresses.

The math is very simple.  If the balance of all your linked bitcoin addresses is 100 BTC, and the total balance of all linked bitcoin addresses of all users is 1,000,000 BTC, then this is the number of bytes that will be yours:

100 / 1000000 * 0.98 * 1015 = 98,000,000,000

hi byteball, i think understand what you said..tell me if i 'm in the false..all user will receive proportionally  the total value of btc in escrow..so all users will get an equity part..ist correct ?

if its that so is really good..otherwise its another nxt whale system..not really good.. Undecided

lite wallet isnt compatible with andro 5.1.1 or my phone..so i can install this..? i run on win 32  : https://byteball.org/downloads/Byteball-test-win32.exe.

This is a known bug that will be fixed in the next release.  It is caused by incorrect behavior after you have deleted the wallet seed.
Before the next release, you can reinstall the app (you will lose all testbytes) but don't try delete the seed in the current version.

We all benefit from network effects when the distribution is as wide as possible.  Your suggestion heard, but at this time it is just too early to change plans.
