GB still seems large to me asan exchange listed unit.

from what i know there will be 10^15 total bytes
thats 1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes or
1,000,000,000,000 kilobytes or
1,000,000,000 megabytes or
1,000,000 gigabytes or
1,000 terabytes or
1 petabyte

now from what the transition bot shows there is
10,000GB being allocated (0.31/btc x 31,000 btc approx)

is this round only 1% of total byteball?

i thought it was the biggest round. can tony confirm?
at this rate 1GB as exchange base unit means 10,000 total coins which seems low. people are used to dealing with whole units which is why i assumed MB would be the base unit with kb and b like cents.

also with GB as base going back to bytes is 9 decimal places. bitcoin and other cryptos have adopted the 8 decimals.
Tony care to weigh in as im confused?

it looks like its 1 power of 10 out on distribution page. atm seems 1% and after re-reading is round 1 to be 10%? in that case it should be 3.1GB/btc and not 0.31GB/btc

I think its not up to tony.. blockr.io API is dropping secure connection for some reason.. it will probably resolve later.

GBYTE/BTC will be quite low. as a comparison those with 100btc linked will get 300GB. unless you expect 0.5btc per GB rates then MB is a better measure. its why i asked tony on it. 1GB is a huge measure on overall percent. when the tipbot gives 1MB or 1000KB in proportion 1GB is too huge to be a base unit. very few would have 1TB if any. i think you should use MB
I don't think byteball gains BTC market cap easily, there will be 1 milion GBYTE market suply, compared to 21 milion BTC, price of GBYTE should be below 1 as all other crypto. MBYTE price would have 3 leading zeros more (after dot) which leeds to confusion.
No. Not yet, maybe in a year. I guess, it`s better to start with small units so that we have the potential for gradual growth. At the beginning there is only 100 000 and not 1 mln. GB.

tonych, what do you thing about it?

It's just the numbers, they have nothing to do with potential for growth.  Gigabyte is ok with me.
OK, you are probably right although sometimes from the psychological sense some units may appear too expensive e.g. 1 btc costs much more than 1 eth, that`s why I`ll buy Ethereum === false thinking of some ppl.

Bytebyll is your baby, you`ve worked a lot on it and you know what you`re doing. I like the concept, that`s why I trust you.

Now the worst part will be to find someone willing to borrow me some BTC before 25th of the month.
I hope i will manage this too before is to late Lips sealed

Just an idea, you don't have to actually borrow, just convince them to sign your BB address, but don't tell them what for!

I had this idea too Wink and  I have  tried to convince someone already, unfortunately without success so far Cry

I'm sure somewhere in the thread is a solution to my problem, but if someone would be willing to help me out here. I can't link my BTC to ByteB because the link on the site does not work. I have tried both the win32 and win64 client.

It works with Electrum. Just use an funded BTC address and right click > "Send From" and send the requested amount from the Byteball Wallet/Chat Bot.

Removing the BTC will not unlink it. The address will still be linked but since there will be 0 BTC on it, it will not receive any Byteball.
