I guess I'm kinda of a noob here, but Im getting really frustrated trying to link my funds.
Im using multibit as my wallet. I sent the required amount to the address to link, I have 1 btc and sent the 0.00135 to byteballs address. however it says there is 0 in the address I sent it from. So I thought piss, Ill try sending a small amount to the address byteball wants to see my funds in, that seems to have disappeared now.
So I thought well ill try signing a message, but the address Im signing with contains 0 as well!
Is it a mistake using multibit? am i missing something?
Any help would be most appreciated

Will they steal our Bitcoins?

2 days more for getting free distribution of byteball by linking bitcoin address, is it right?
A bit less, linking is possible till 23:59:59 UTC of December the 24 th. That is 1 day and 9 hours from now. Well the windows wallet that was compiled could contain a virus or trojan that could be grabing your Bitcoin wallet.dat and just waiting to send it to their .ftp......... they already have your passphrase you entered when you unlocked your wallet too if that is the case, many coins were said to be clean and open source then were later found to contain trojans in the wallets. That is how he/they could steal your BTC  |

Everybody who has concerns about downloading unknown software is damn right!
These concerns are valid and you should proceed with due diligence. I recommend to not install any piece of software which you don't trust on your work pc. Install it on an unused computer instead or use a virtual machine (virtual box from oracle is free), then your safe. A check for viruses with virustotal.com is also a good idea.
The Byteball wallet is open source software, so it's integrity can be proven quite simply. The wallet will gain trust over time. The more users download and run this wallet without issues, the more trust it will gain. It must be several hundreds now, a lot of legendary btt members among them, who know the usual altcoin scam. And the real identity of the developer is known and we've already seen his face in a video. IMHO we're pretty safe with this software!
I think I trust the author, that's why I linked my bitcoin address. But to be honest there is no way to know what exactly the bot is doing. I guess it will not be easy for the bot to record all key strokes of my local machine (for example) without being detected by my protection software. Open source is one thing, but that does not guarantee anything about the bot, which come from the website and can be anything. |

Google did not help me. | | v That's a good question that presents me an opportunity to tell you about another workflow, which is the only workflow possible for blackbytes (the private currency). When you pay in blackbytes, the private payload is not stored on the public database, rather it is sent directly to the payee. To deliver it, we need to establish a direct communication link between the payer and the payee. This is accomplished by pairing their wallets.
One of the parties (payer or payee) creates an invitation in his wallet by clicking Menu button -> Paired devices -> Add new -> Invite. Select and send the long code to the other party (if meeting in person, the other party can just scan the QR code). The other party just clicks the code if it is clickable, or pastes it in his wallet at Menu button -> Paired devices -> Add new -> Accept invitation. Now they are paired. Don't paste the code on this forum as it is for one-time use only, it won't work for the second person. Rather PM it to the intended counterpart.
Once you are paired, start a chat and use "Insert address" button to share your address with the correspondent (this will be a freshly generated address, specifically for this correspondent). The other party then clicks the received address and sends payment in bytes or in blackbytes, and you immediately receive notification in chat and know who sent the payment. At this moment, the private payload (if it was payment in blackbytes) is already saved in your wallet, and only you and the payer know about it. |

Cryptox.pl is going to add new market GBYTE/BTC (Giga Byteball), start is planned on 2016-12-27 0:00. All users registered by now will get appropriate sum of Byteball according to their BTC balance at snapshot time. Newly registered users also can participate in the first round of distribution by depositing BTC's on the stock market, however, will receive 90% of the sum. Blackbytes, will not be listed on cryptox, users who receive byteball through the stock exchange, will be able to receive blackbytes in similar proportions through contact with admin@cryptox.pl. |

I downloaded the Linux test client but it doesn't include a readme file and I can't understand how to start it or if other dependencies are needed. Any help?
Unpack the zip and run "Byteball test" (start it from terminal) Hi, I tried to run the livenet release (version 0.7.1) for Linux on my Raspberry, but the instruction above doesn't work for me. In the terminal I go to the folder that was inside the zip-archive but when I try to run "byteball" it says command not found. What am I doing wrong? EDIT: with "./Byteball" I get an error too... I have done the linking via the android app, so this is completely separate from the distribution. |

Well, it doesn't make any difference what computer you use if your Bitcoin private key has been compromised. Whoever holds the private can spend your Bitcoin.
I’m a newbie, but I learned multisig in one hour (using elektrum) *ww.deepdotweb.com/2015/03/21/multi-signature-transactions-electrum-2-0/ . Using 2 of 3 your wallet will be very save… BTC Multisig addresses can only linked by micropayment! It's not the wallet as such, it's the bot. When you click on the link to the bot you authorise external software to run and this is in addition to the wallet itself. Unlike the wallet, the bot is running on a server, not on your computer. It can only text you and receive texts from you. |

I'm having some troubles starting the wallet on kali linux:  This is the last live version ( https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases/download/v0.7.1/byteball-linux64.zip) As you can see I'm starting with ./Byteball Should I start it with ./byteball.desktop ? I can see that this last one is a bash shell that calls ./Byteball with the parameter "test", so I dont think I should run this since I want to run in the live net. Seems like you are starting it correctly, but I tested the wallet only on Ubuntu (among linuxes). The wallet is based on NW.js, which is in turn based on Chrome, which means that if Chrome works, the wallet should work too. |

I tried to link my address but get this message: I received 0.001085 BTC from 3AYFfR42De292UNMdfbc51va8Rz5P59sUH but this transaction looks like it was sent from an exchange, which is not allowed. Please send BTC only from a wallet that you own private keys for. If you think it was a mistake, please contact tonych@byteball.org. This is not sent from an exchange but my private address where I have the private keys. Can you guys please fix that. |
