All the tesnet info can be found here https://byteball.org/testnet.html. Download the tesnet wallet, click on click this link, your device will be paired with the testnet faucet, insert your address and it will give you some test bytes to play with.

Can I send the micropayment from a jaxx wallet to prove my btc balance?

JAXX used HD Wallets as far as I know, so no. Use Electrum and sign and message might be the easiest way.

There is nothing wrong with HD as long as the private keys are controlled by you (the user).

Except you can't sign a message with JAXX and when you send the micro tx,  it'll change your address rendering the link useless. Use Electrum to sign, easiest method unless you can still sign messages in mycelium.

The link wouldn't be useless because you can send your BTC back to your linked address. Actually, that is the general case when you do a micropayment, the remaining BTC is sent to a change address and you should send them back to your linked address.

Noob question:

Glancing through the thread I've seen this topic brought up many times, but often with conflicting answers:

I was in the first 10% giveaway and all went smoothly.  If I have coin in that same bitcoin address at the next helicopter drop to I get to take part in that too, or is it one and done?

If you have BTC on the address you linked for the first round, you will be part of the second round (and all the following rounds, provided the rules don't change). To make sure your BTC address is linked to your byteball address, check transition.byteball.org and/or ask the bot, it will tell you your linked addresses and their balances.

The conflicts appear that people confuse Gbyte and BTC as their account.  Your answer has made it clear to me though that I need take no further action, as nothing has been moved on the BTC side (other than I also bought some Gbyte on top of the give away from a different BTC slush fund Account).

Thank you

What do you mean?

Even if nothing moved on the BTC side, make sure you still control the byteball address you linked your BTC address to, because bytes (and blackbytes) will be sent there.

(other than I also bought some Gbyte on top of the give away from a different BTC slush fund Account).

The BTC address you use to buy from doesn't matter. Transfer the GB you bought to the byteball address that is linked (so that you get the blackbytes on top of the bytes).

Thank you

You are welcome.

On average, how much blackbytes does this give me if I buy 1 BTC?  Huh
Also how much more BTC will I win, will the amount increase in the same way?
It would be more logical for me to keep BYTES instead of keeping BTC.

People, don't be lazy!

Have a chat with the transition bot and check if your bitcoins and bytes are correctly linked.

We can't make this any easier than it is now!

Any info on who the twelve validating witnesses are atm? I'm assuming they're just twelve servers being run by tonych, but curious if there is any more info available.

You are right I'm still running all 12 witnesses myself.
You shouldn't say "validating witnesses" - witnesses are validating exactly as much as any other full node.

Thanks for clarifying. Just out of curiosity, how much fees are you collecting per day in payload commission at this point?

How will this change going forward regarding the witnesses?  I mean in the selecting of the 12, how long do you plan to carry the whole network?

So if I understand correctly the witnesses are the ones who receive the payload commissions for each transaction.
Where can we find the info on how much commission are being generated for each transaction?

What about the headers commissions where can we find this for each transaction?

The distribution rules:

BTC to bytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 62.5 MB (0.0625 GB)
BTC to blackbytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 2.1111 * 62.5 million blackbytes (money supply of blackbytes is 2.1111 times more than that of bytes)
Bytes to bytes: 1 byte on any Byteball address gives you 0.1 new bytes
Bytes to blackbytes: 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.21111 blackbytes

Guys, you can bind with blockchain.info Bitcoins, I can not find it on any of my wallet Bitcoins are stored in blockchain.info, who made a transaction for byteball with blockchain.info please tell me how to find out the main wallet where all Bitcoins are stored

Forget it, their new design is shit. I think the only way to do it on blockchain.info is by importing a private key and then you'll have the option of signing a message with that key.

Use https://www.bitaddress.org to generate a fresh Bitcoin private and public keys.

It was just my impression reading the thread.  I will double check that the addresses match up, but am fairly sure nothing has changed, Would hate to miss out on a million dollar freebie! Smiley

Thank you for the example. I tried to look at it individually but it was hard to find it.  Grin Grin
As far as I understand I need to keep btc quite alot possible until I get 2 distributions.
