is there a way to check Byteball and BTC addresses linking?

Two ways actually Smiley. You can ask the transtion bot, it will tell you your linked BTC and BB addresses and their balances, but it won't tell you which BTC is linked to which BB. However at transition.byteball.org you can find that info by searching for a BTC or a BB address.

that's exactly what i need.

thanks again for ur support.

And check first round here http://transition.byteball.org/firstround.html

If that is not enough, here are more seditious words: "blackbyte", "bad distribution", "better than iota", "very similar to iota", "actually the same" Grin.

This post reminded me to ask: Was there a peer review of "private untraceable payments"* claim?

What is distributed are bytes and blackbytes. For bytes, 10% of the total supply was distributed during the first round, that is 100 000 GB (Gigabyte). The second round distribution will give 1% (10 000 GB) to bytes' holders and 62.5 MB for each linked BTC. At the time of writing, 79579.34769944 BTC are linked, that is 4 973+ GB, in total that would be 14 973+ GB, which is 1.4973 % of the total supply (for the next distribution).

I'm expecting a big dump when the next distribution is over.

People are hoarding big now just to get a bigger stake in the next round of distribution.

People selling now at more than 0.05 price are gonna regret it when bytes are more worth than bitcoin.

Blackbytes with tor is even better than monero and zcash, because byteball scales better.

Or send transaction to main adress.

You mean after transaction from main adress send tip from new created address to the old one? If yes, then you're right, but it's more work.

It's for this reason that it is necessary to save completely the directory of the byteballs, not just seed

Yeah, but you must save it after each transaction lol. It's very hard and here can be some other problems. Like an empty balance

You must not, if you are using multisig:

... private assets, such as blackbytes, are stored only in the wallet (exactly because they are private) and get updated every time you send or receive a private asset.

To secure against loss of the wallet, I recommend that you use multisig.  For example, 1-of-2 multisig with one wallet on the phone, the other on a desktop computer.  This way, the private assets will be automatically copied to the two devices.

Interesting, will it work if one of the devices is offline?

Blackbytes with tor is even better than monero and zcash, because byteball scales better.

Also, zcash so anonyme, that we can't know for sure how many coins exist. Zcash has premine (or presale, as you like)
And it very speculative and have weak development (in my opinion).
Monero it's project of Poloniex.

Any info on who the twelve validating witnesses are atm? I'm assuming they're just twelve servers being run by tonych, but curious if there is any more info available.

You are right I'm still running all 12 witnesses myself.
You shouldn't say "validating witnesses" - witnesses are validating exactly as much as any other full node.

Thanks for clarifying. Just out of curiosity, how much fees are you collecting per day in payload commission at this point?

Actually never bothered to count, should be pennies at current traffic levels.

How will this change going forward regarding the witnesses?  I mean in the selecting of the 12, how long do you plan to carry the whole network?

So if I understand correctly the witnesses are the ones who receive the payload commissions for each transaction.
Where can we find the info on how much commission are being generated for each transaction?

What about the headers commissions where can we find this for each transaction?

You can see all fees in the explorer https://explorer.byteball.org
