Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

If you think Im gonna post some "proof" to actually doxx myself so you can begin stalking and threatening me in other fora, yeah, that is not gonna happen.

Have you thought how many people will see this reply as a legit explanation, not as a made-up excuse before posting it?

I am being productive, enlightening people to not sink their capital into a failed en-devour and focus it on more productive systems instead. Everyone wins.

I think you and tony are very high skilled devs. I hope that a little partnership possible is.

It's the same old song I have heard numerous times. Let's sum it up:

1. You can't prove your level of expertise
2. You try to build reputation
3. You praise Byteball like that "overly attached girlfriend"

What does all this mean? (Don't answer, it was a rhetorical question)

Tony is productive enough to not need anyone's help. I'm here to learn new things (e.g. anonymity with blackbytes).

Dude, I do not even give a shit about your altcoin community or reputation within it, or even reputation in real life.  Roll Eyes

Im a new guy, you havent seen me before, Im not somebody you already banned and threatened before. In fact, I do not even give a shit about you at all. You can instead try to prove that IOTA does not indeed suck, I am really curious, and since I got no expertise according to you, you should be able to correct my statements about IOTA. I am willing to learn, so please explain where I am wrong.

If you cant, or do not want, please leave this thread and go back to your Iota thread where you can delete posts you disagree with at will. So that I can be praising, discussing and criticizing byteball in this peaceful respectful community. Thank you.

Not open for partnership, tonych has much more experience than me and more cojones.

I will soon give something nice for the community though, under a different pseudonym of course.

And of course that person (probably Satoshi himself) will deny to be SatoNatomato. Your level of naivete amazes me.

hey guys

running v 1.0.0 with few ByteBalls from first round distribution, how is the update process installing the new v 1.1.1. on PC.

I made a backup of seed and folder, so just hit install for an override?

What are the major flaws of IOTA?
1. Does not work on IoT devices. Proof-of-Work is CPU and battery expensive on such micro-controllers, but due to their low-power and constrained CPUs, the Proof-of-Work that IoT devices can do is orders of magnitude less than what a normal CPU can do, which makes the PoW even less worth. Due to this problem, the second one follows

2. Has no Sybil prevention. IOTA mechanism of joining the network requires talking to humans to exchange IPs on their Slack-channel. The consensus algorithm is flawed.

3. Has infantile community leaders such as Come-from-Beyond, hostile, threatening and entitled "holier-than-you" attitude to newcomers. Also the Iota leaders have previously been involved in failed altcoin NXT.

Yup, that should work fine. Shut down the old version. Take another backup of App directory. Start the new version. All should be good.

Yup it worked. Just make sure you backup the correct folder, on Linux its ~/.config/byteball on windows it should be in the AppData directory (but check further in this thread for the correct path).

I'm wondering why there hasn't been much discussion about Byteball Declarative Smart Contracts.

I see tons of potential for these but the topic hasn't gotten much love at all. What gives?

There's been a thread about it by tonych since Sept. 15th mentioned in the OP of this thread,
but I'm the first to reply.

I think ByteBall and its opportunitys arent known well yet

I saw the same in the time of the Ethereum ICO, way before the MEGA hype. Vitaliks code was working and up for testing. But nobody gave a shit about it. Till one day.

My apologies if this has been already discussed, but what stops someone from sending the BTC proof from an exchange wallet? With a very small balance on an exchange, someone could potentially pretend they represent 1000s of Bitcoins.

I believe this distribution would be a lot more fair if it required the signature method, rather than allowing the tx method of proving address ownership.
