I am a volunteer to set up and run a witness. Would you replace one of your witnesses by mine in the default list at least until we get some well reputed "captain of industry" to replace me ?

That means : are you socialy ready to start release hands on witnesses ?
Personally, I am ready to place trust in community members.

Nice to hear.

There is now a fresh new witness just started at byteball.fr and posting :

https://explorer.byteball.org/#MEJGDND55XNON7UU3ZKERJIZMMXJTVCV
I did it this way - hope it will work:

Nice job. Welcome to MEJGDND55XNON7UU3ZKERJIZMMXJTVCV !

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Great work!

Which witness in the default 12 list would you like me to replace?

kola-schaar has made an nice step-by-step a few posts ago, so let's follow his random choice! Replace the current 12th of the list : UENJPVZ7HVHM6QGVGT6MWOJGGRTUTJXQ by MEJGDND55XNON7UU3ZKERJIZMMXJTVCV

I have updated wss://byteball.fr/bb default witnesses list too.

exports.initial_witnesses = [

It seems that blocker.io is still behind if your new to byteball just follow the bot instruction and you must have a BTC in your account. nice job on the new witness.

Hi,

I need some advice on this... Any help will be really appreciated..

I made the payment from my Ledger Nano S adress to my Gbyte address and I have received a message saying:

"Your payment from 1DLUqLmL8UFH3u6crMfxzYx8BqWSgCwmwt has 1 confirmations now.

Please make sure that 1DLUqLmL8UFH3u6crMfxzYx8BqWSgCwmwt is indeed your address and move all your coins to this address. You receive 62.5 MB and 131,943,750 blackbytes for each 1 BTC of the total balance of this Bitcoin address on April 11.

Current balance of this address is 0 BTC."

I don´t know if Ledger Nano S has different addresses for the same wallet... I am confused now.. I just paid the amount that chat bot said from my BTC wallet with btc in it. I don´t understand why is saying the balance on the wallet is 0

Many thanks!

Sorry to see your question too late.
When you make a payment, there is a change which is moved to another new address in your wallet. That's why your old BTC wallet address has 0 BTC. Try to move every btc on the linked address..

The transition.byteball.org page uses blockr.io for retrieving btc balances. This service don't seem to work correctly at the moment, if in doubt please double-check with blockchain.info

Everybody having zero btc on the linked address after sending the micro-tx must send his balance back to this linked address as the transition bot tells you!

The distribution snapshot was taken at block 461387!

Thank you all for participating in this distribution round. It usually takes some hours until the bytes arrive in your wallet (blackbytes a lot longer), please be patient.

If you're too late, don't be sad. There are several more distribution rounds coming up, each one on the full moon!

Hummm.... looks like the number of connexions to a hub is hard coded :

Tue Apr 11 2017 08:31:56 GMT+0200 (CEST): 99 incoming connections, 1 outgoing connections, 1 outgoing connections being opened
Tue Apr 11 2017 08:31:59 GMT+0200 (CEST): got connection from xxx.254.xxx.32:41744, host xxx.254.xxx.32
Tue Apr 11 2017 08:31:59 GMT+0200 (CEST): inbound connections maxed out, rejecting new client xxx.254.xxx.32

Can dev confirm or explain ? (I added xxx in the IP for privacy)

I'm not sure but through local conf.js I think you can override:
Exports.MAX_INBOUND_CONNECTIONS = 100;
Exports.MAX_OUTBOUND_CONNECTIONS = 100;
github.com/byteball/byteballcore/blob/master/conf.js
