There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

With so much people joining and the BTC price pumping, it's logical for some laggs or connection errors to occure.

After the snapshot usually how much time does it take to send the bytes and blackbytes?
I've only been here since the 4th round. If I remember correcty, normal bytes took 1-2 hours but sending blackbytes was somewhere around 12 hours. Was this similar in the previous rounds as well?

You could look in your Transition Bot chat history.

Or,

You could go to:
http://transition.byteball.org/

In the search box, fill in your Byteball address and it will show the linked addresses

I think I have multiple Byteball addresses in my wallet. Do I have to link them all with the bot to get blackbytes for each?

No, you don't get byteball based on byteball addresses.  You get byteball based on Bitcoin addresses link to your byteball address(es).

To see what your byteball addresses are:
Click Home, then Cogwheel (preferences), Advanced, Wallet Information.... scroll to bottom.

Unless I misunderstood what you're asking.

I am referring to the blackbytes. I found this in the OP: Bytes to blackbytes: 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.21111 blackbytes

I realize everyone is excited about the drop today, but what is the latest on services being added that use or accept byteball?  The fact that it is traded on Bittrex is great, what is the outlook for the future?

I do like this distribution model as it provides BOTH broad distribution based on bitcoin holdings and a reason to hold onto your byteball.

Yes - It's very recommendable to do that!

In the chat menu you will find the transition bot -> Double click -> say "hi" or anything else to the bot
(If he don't answer, try again later - maybe he's busy)
The bot will give you all linked addresses and the amounts..

that did the trick, thank you.

i forgot that i did a transaction after that and my nano s emptied the linked account into a new one so i would've gotten nothing more than 0.1 per existing gb.

worth a check for everyone.

Welcome.

As for the nano, there is nothing saying you couldn't send your bitcoin back to that linked address.  Remember distribution is a snap shot.  So, if you have 1 coin in it before, and now you have 2, you get the bonus plus.

Reusing addresses isn't recommended though, but not because it will break anything other than the semi anonymous nature of your transactions.

Where did you get the 9632 users?   Did you interpret that from number of entries?   Just to be fair, if so, then the number of users is less.   I am sure people are registering multiple addresses and/or wallets.

How many % of the total amount will be distributed in the 5th round of the airdrop?

Depends on the number of bitcoin registered.

Distribution is 0.0625 bytes per bitcoin (and bonus from prior bytes).

So, until the drop, they don't know an exact amount.

Quote from the site is:
"In the 5th round, which is scheduled for the full moon of May (May 10, 2017 at 21:42 UTC), we'll distribute 62.5 MB for each 1 BTC of linked balance and 0.1 new byte for each 1 byte you already hold."
