There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

it's a shame the next distribution will be cut to 1/10th of the usual (previous) distribution rates
if preventing people from dumping GB coins by lowering distribution rates, there could be another way
I propose the distribution rates based on coinday weight,
the amount BTC/GB * time in that address since last distribution * multiplier
multiplier for GB should be 2x/3x higher than that for BTC

so basically similar to how bank calculate interest rate on savings account
the longer it stays in that address the bigger the interest will be rewarded
in our case the interest here would be rewards in GB distribution
this would somehow make exchangers get less because they tend to move their BTC constantly
it is easy for me to say, but probably hard or would require a lot of compute time

i think tony should cut dist rates to 1%.

people who are disappointed want just btc profit. slow release byteball now. 1% a month or 0.5% a month. its equiv to mining and gives coin holders a reward for a while. focus on more bot services etc. higher players will buy and use. no more month gluctuations.

remove btc link rewards now coins established no need. there is no negative except complaints about no more free coins. coin campers move on community grows

The recent price is like a waterfall, following this project, from seed, to the top of the mountain, and now to the bottom of the mountain, and never abandon you

Exact like me.

I have just registered to share this idea: last X TB of distribution entirely given to bytes which have not been moved since 25th Dec (excluding lisk and iconomi wallets). Or since distribution date.

How many bytes have not been moved since then?

The novelty of Byteball was attractive during the last altcoin season in July, thus, the strong rally. But now GBYTE has return to its previous trendline. Look ath the GBYTEUSD pair and you'll see.
The tech behind byteball is super cool and I am sure it will make a great come back once the distribution is over. Moreover there will only be 1Million GBYTE for the market to play with

I think the technology of byteball is really good, but for some reason that the price is very low, I don't know if I missed anything.

When I make a conditional payment - is there a way to share or make public it's conditions?

For example I need to share with somebody or prove that we agreed in p2p betting - out bets, amount and for what we are betting. DAG explorer will only show transaction if it occurs but not conditions. Wallet screenshot with payment conditions if not enough.

There could be a way to do that.
After receiving a payment request to a smart-address, you can right-click on your wallet, select 'inspect' and go to console tab. From there you can copy the definition of the smart-address in a raw format like:
Quote
"definitions":{"COV65DTFUWRQKC6JRNTGKZRGIWMDVYIM":{"definition":["or",[["and",[["address","AK2ERJ3A6YPMLGUZA6CC667AKQ7RSC77"],["in data feed",[["I2ADHGP4HL6J37NQAD73J7E5SKFIXJOT"],"timestamp",">",1504423059748]]]],
["and",[["address","ZQ4BAFZEECE6XP2GNTISXCGEHOJVFMLJ"],["in data feed",[["I2ADHGP4HL6J37NQAD73J7E5SKFIXJOT"],"timestamp",">",1504423059748]],["not",["in data feed",[["AK2ERJ3A6YPMLGUZA6CC667AKQ7RSC77"],"blackbytes","=",10000000000]]]]]]]}}
Since the smart-address is a checksumed hash of this definition, others could check what contract you funded by recalculating it.

Let me ask the Byteball core community: what do you think is the main competitor of Byteball or are there no competitors?

Cheers. I still hold a lot of Byte balls Grin

Iota is somehow a competitor, has a huge capitalisation but most of coins are apparently in just a few hands, which if it's true makes it... well, you can guess.

I don't think you can. Since it's untraceable, exchanges have to do manual checks if they have received or send. Until that time when someone's using blackbytes to transact, exchanges won't list it.

There are some bots available in the slack chat which can be used to trade between GBB and GBYTE.Thats the only place I know of currently

Iota has the first mover advantage, but I like how Tonych distributes and engage the community.

I wonder if he has something up his sleeves as he almost never engages the media, so mostly people in the crypto community are supporting it. I like it to be that way, but also like to see some major growth, maybe some time next year. Steady growth wins the day.

As long as there is no official member of Byteball what confirms it I would leave the fingers of it. Normally such announcements are always come from Cryptkeeper or Tony. I also could not find anything on the Twitter channel of Cryptkeeper. So be careful and first try only small quantities if there is interest.

I agree with you. Tonych acts very professional and there's no stupid media noise around byteballs. He does a lot of real improvements over time that are much more important than marketing IMO.

If you want to transfer your bytes from one address to the other one within the same wallet (back to the linked address, for the airdrop), would you do it just as you would do it for transfer it to an external address ?

Yes. Just Send to your own address, then history will show "Moved".

BEEB is your wallet Bot store, as such it is a Tonych accepted bot. About 1500GBB have already been flawlessly traded on BEEB. We make a lot of things for Byteball. Look at my signature.

Enjoy.
