Why the price of GBYTE is dropping? Is this connected to IOTA's broken hash function mentioned in this article here?
 https://www.coindesk.com/broken-hash-function-iota-price-drops-on-tech-critique/

The 20% airdrop made a pricepump. Now we are hoing back to normal. More tx on the chain will make the price to recover.

https://github.com/ByteFan/Byteball-for-Woocommerce

Feedbacks welcome !

nice job! good contribution to the byteball ecosystem

Is there any solution in work to crack the 5 tps barriere? Offchain channels? Or sharding?
As far as I know, with DAG there is no upper limit to scale. And the bigger the DAG becomes, the faster the transactions are confirmed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the limit is more on hardware and bandwidth.

Now we use Byteball GlobalChat,It's Great。

Have I missed something? Where is  the GlobalChat?  Can not find it in my client , only p2p chat is present.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ByteBall/comments/6n98ez/alpha_test_global_chat_room_for_byteball_wallets/
Thanks. If I got it in the right way there is the server that handle the global chat and keeps log of it. Everyone who connects to that server can participate. Is this correct?

Hi,

I have a few questions and I hope someone can answer them:

1. How secure is the chat? I've read that it is encrypted, but can someone explain to me how that is done? Especially with chatpartners on different hubs.
Can the hub read the messages or even decide that chats are not encrypted? I mean they could change the code before they open the gates, without people realizing it.
And what kind of encryption is used?

2. In terms of privacy and anonymity: What are the advantages of blackbytes against for example Monero? Why shouldn't I just use Monero if my biggest concern is privacy (and not for instance transaction time or fees)?

3. Is there a "real" wiki-project for byteball where information are collected in different languages with volunteer contributers to work on? I've only seen one in english...
I think that would help other people to understand a few things better (and decreases the amount of recurring questions in this thread) and spread the word about byteball.

And finally a suggestion for the future: A NFC function on the smartphone apps would be nice if we talk about reallife usage.

I like more and more cool features are being added as bots to perform transactions. Chatbots are next big thing which will create hype and demand for these will be on the increase. I have made couple of transactions using bot and it was impressive. Future looks great for byteball project seeing the work being done.

why is CMC listing Byteball as Byteball Bytes?  it sounds better as just Byteball.

As tonych said, byteball is platform, bytes is currency. I believe that he wrote to CMC.

This gives potential to add Byteball Blackbytes and other Tokens later.

Was hoping someone could help me figure out how to send Bytes from my light wallet account to my Bittrex Account.  I've send a few tests of 1GBYTE to Bittrex, my light wallet shows it in my history but days have gone by and nothing has happened.  I still have my original balance on the wallet so haven't lost any bytes, but really want to get some into my trading account, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Are you sure you sent 1 GB and not only 1 byte ?

Haha, change the Unit for bytes/blackbytes in your wallet settings to GB/GBB to avoid this confusion in the future. It is much easier to transact since most exchanges trade GB (except for the chat bots in the wallet).

Well I took the plunge and put an order using the exchange bot (byte-BTC). I'd like to know a bit more about the inner workings, if anyone can provide a link or something would appreciate.  In any case, to use is quite simple you put in a buy order and then it gives you a bitcoin address to fund. I assume it is trustworthy? Once that receives two confirmations your order is added to the book. I'm not sure why there is a limit of 0.2 BTC ? Sometimes might be nice to go higher than that. There doesn't appear to be much volume or liquidity to speak of but hopefully that might improve in time.

In general I think bytecoin could do with being available on a few bigger exchanges, are there any plans in that regard?

Moving the wallet to another system.
Which files and folders should I backup?
Running newest version.
Thanks.

If you're using windows operating system. Go to C: > Users > *Your Computer Name* > AppData > Local

Copy/backup the entire byteball directory and put it at the same location.

If you do this you will lose all  the blackbytes. The correct way is to  make multisig wallet (2-1) and move all bytes and blackbytes to new address of this wallet.

Yes, this is the best way, but woudn't the other way also have to work? I remember to have read that there is a wat to backup also the blackbytes....
