Can blackbytes be traded anywhere yet? Like on an exchange or so
Is the address for byteball same as that for blackbytes? If I send the blackbytes to an exchange byteball address, it should work?

Are there any news about the plan/intention of broadcasting the names of the assets created on the Byteball platform? As for now they would appear in the wallet just with their hash, which is scacely useful since it's impossible to brand. I'm eagerly waiting.
I don't see why Byteball would create a brand for you. I would think that you would create your own brand and advertise it instead of trying to get Byteball to do it for you. Assets are private by nature (like blackbytes) so there shouldn't be advertising of such. Maybe I misunderstood what you were hoping to get. People would then simply create a million assets in hope of getting free advertising for anything/nothing in hopes of being the next millionaire for doing nothing more than pressing a few buttons to get free adverts. Yes, Michail, I think you misunderstood what I wanted to say or perhaps I did not explain myself properly. I didn't want Byteball to brand my asset, just wanted to be able to do it myself but to do it myself I need the name of my currency to appear in the wallet instead of an unreadable hash. By the way I always read your posts with great pleasure.
Assets will have names very soon, this is currently at the top of the priority list of the devs.
There are private and public assets on Byteball. There is definitely reasons for having public assets that are advertised/promoted (ICO tokens, frequent flier miles, ect.) Blackbytes are an example of a private asset but public assets can also be created.
I didn't know that an user can create BOTH private assets and public assets - so if I'm understanding correctly if you are issuing your own currency on Byteball you can adopt the same strategy bytes is using (bytes/blackbytes) to create your own "couple" os assets - public and private aka "black"? I think the problem is solved with the 1.11.0 release in principle: Version 1.11.0 released https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases.... In this version, you can also manually attest other users and post arbitrary data into Byteball DAG. We'll use this data-posting functionality to assign human readable names to tokens issued on Byteball (now they are shown as cryptic hashes).
.... Wow, if this means what I think, perhaps the problem I'm talking about is going to be solved very soon. That's what I am waiting for, since this could be a game changer for Byteball. |

All of the sudden my Byteball client fails to run with the following exception: Uncaught exception: Error: Error: SQLITE_ERROR: too many SQL variables SELECT unit_authors.unit, unit_authors.address, 100 AS earned_headers_commission_share FROM unit_authors LEFT JOIN earned_headers_commission_recipients USING(unit) WHERE unit_authors.unit IN(?) AND earned_headers_commission_recipients.unit IS NULL UNION ALL SELECT unit, address, earned_headers_commission_share FROM earned_headers_commission_recipients WHERE unit IN(?) Which is then followed by many pages (thousands) of addresses. I have included the lottery chat bot. Could this be being caused by a bug in that chat bot? Also, I have not updated to the latest version yet. Would it help to update? Can I temporarily remove the lottery chat bot by editing a file somewhere so I can get my client to run again? |

The average crypto investor in today's market is unable to discern what the scam coins are from radically new, exciting projects like byteball or skycoin. That's what you see ponzi like bitconnect or regal coins that are 40-100x and the coins that have developers and innovation are ignored. Also bitcoin forks are now in vogue and every major altcoin is down exponentially vs bitcoin, byteball just happened to be hit hardest because of the lack of hype and low liquidity. |

Once you have installed the client as a light node on a PC is possible to then convert it to a full node? I tried making a backup then uninstalling and reinstalling but it didn't give me the option to chose the type this time.

Hi guys, i got a question about the blackbytes ive got on my account. I know there are some possibilities to swap them into gbytes but i dont know how. Is there a tutorial somewhere how to do it properly? It would be a shame if i screw something up and loose my blackbytes.
I also got a different question i switched my main PC on which my Byteball Wallet is running. I installed the Wallet to the new PC made a gull Sync of the Blockchain and afterwards closed it and replaced the App Data folder with the one from my old Pc but it seems to screw up the Wallet it produces an error: Wallet not found. What is the best and safest option to backup my wallet and to switch it on a different device?
