why iota marketcap so high?

and same technology byteball marketcap is so low???
I think this is because IOTA got large amount of money from big investors, anyway I guess that these large investors wil see the huge potential of Byteball as well....sooner or later Smiley

Byteball is one of most promissing projects in the cryptoworld with nice technology behind and good development. This coin reminds me of Ripple in 2016. Trading volume was almost dead, people were leaving XRP and everyone was yelling Ripple is dead. Time of accumulation.

ripple was a centralized coin..this is just badass.. Grin

Yeah, badass with huge potential:D This is combination that traders and investors will love:) I love it;)

Yes, I agree with you. Every day the big investors support some cryptos. Today, they choose to support IOTA. Tomorrow they will choose Byteball maybe. The important thing is how many big investors start to use and invest in crypto which has the best value for them in long-term period. And I think the BYTEBALL can offer much more than other and therefore I bet his price will skyrocket.

Byteball is an innovative and highly usable project. It is developing at light speed compared to other projects. However many people only think of the free Airdrop when they hear of Byteball. We need to change this image by spreading the word about the features and applications (bots, Titan ICO, Milan etc.)

It is the same question why Bitcoin values so much while other PoW coins do only have a market cap of 1 million.
IOTA has gained a lot of attention in industries and business since its inception. A lot of big companies (Innogy, Bosch, Samsung to name only three) are associated with IOTA (if they're really involved into IOTA is a another quesiton). Also a lot of well-known advisors joined IOTA Foundation. So it is a completely different situation to Byteball. You can not compare both, maybe technology-wise but not marketcap-wise.

This is just wrong. The top three and six out of the top ten crypto by marketcap are PoW.

An update about future distribution plans.

So far, bytes were mainly distributed via airdrops to holders of BTC and Bytes, and a relatively small portion was distributed through the cashback program.  We started this free distribution with the purpose of getting the currency as wide spread as possible, and while the purpose stays the same, methods can change.  The airdrop method worked well to get the initial user base, but it also proved to be the least efficient in terms of user acquisition cost.

Over the next few months, we'll add more methods of free distribution.  One of them is already being developed, I expect it to be ready in the first half of December.

The new methods are designed to grow our user base faster than the money supply.

While the new methods are still untested, it is early to drop the airdrops.  That's why the next round of distribution to Bytes and BTC holders is tentatively planned for the full moon of March 2, 2018.  The rules are the same as in the previous round:

For every 16 BTC you receive 0.1 GB,
For every 1 GB you receive additional 0.1 GB,

and similar rules for blackbytes.

This round can be postponed or even canceled depending on performance of other distribution methods.

Thanks for the clarity and good luck.

I'm not complaining, but honestly that doesn't provide much clarity. New secret method coming maybe soon, and next airdrop in March except maybe if one guy changes his mind.

Thank you for a clear update
I think you are doing a good work, and I think the change in distribution method will be positive.

Thanks and keep working like this  Wink

Hi Tonych,
Why don't you use the all rest Bytes for merchant cashback program? I think this is the best way how spread BB to real world. The more merchants using Bytes the more attract from other companies and people Smiley

Meet our new cashback partner, a hair salon in Kyoto.  It is headed by Satoshi, a Byteball fan.

After updating the windows full wallet now the new one doesn't work any more. I'm getting the error message: "Uncaught exception: Type Error: Cannot read properly 'IndexOf' of undefined."
So now what?

Why not limit the distribution to Byteball holders only? Rewarding BTC whales at this stage generates unnecessary sale pressure in my opinion.
In addition to the free distributions it would be wise to reserve around 5% or 10% for future marketing, UX & development in order to attract a larger audience & secure the future development of Byteball.

Haven't seen that, but....
move the wallet to another folder.  start up the client and then do a full restore.

You DID make a full restore before upgrading to the new watter, rite?

For every 1 GB you receive additional 0.1 GB,

And now the fools that come in claiming it's bad that whales get all the money without even considering what they're saying.
Someone with 16BTC (yes $130k) is not likely to care about $23 worth of byteball.  If you really think that is their motivation, you're really lacking.
A Whale would simply purchase a GB at $250 and get the 10% bonus instead of hoping his $130k would get him $23.

Looks like a complaint to me Wink

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Your logic here seems reasonable. Still: the top 10 Byteball linked BTC addresses represent ±200.000 BTC combined: http://transition.byteball.org
This translates to 1250 GB airdropped Byteball. That's still quite a lot for the market to swallow if it would be sold in a short period of time.

The merchant cashback program is great though and I'm very curious about the new additional distribution method coming in December.

having a similar error (error removing unstable units ) in my wallet i have only blackbytes in that wallet i can use the full backup with no risk of losing the coins ?
